He wrote many famous sermons, meditations, and ascetical works. His meditations are still used today for the stations of the cross during Lent.

Efficacious and rich in wisdom!!
I often look for the "gems" in my spiritual reading; those lines which resound the most strongly in my conscious thought and answer the questions I may have been wrestling with. In some books I might come across a few, but in this book, every line was a gem I could use!!!
