Publisher's summary

Please note: This content is for mature audiences only; it is not for kids. This audio adaptation contains explicit language and graphic violence, as well as strong sexual content and themes. Discretion is advised.

Kerry Lynne and By the Board Publishing LLC presents The Pirate Captain Chronicles of a Legend audio drama (mature audience). The production is one-of-a-kind full-cast audio “theatre” drama produced by Neil Rosser of Spools Out Productions, UK. The Pirate Captain Chronicles of a Legend audio is an unabridged adaptation of the first book in The Pirate Captain Chronicles of a Legend book series; it is not a story for the kids, nor the weak of heart. It is a violent and deadly world with enemies scheming to take the Pirate Captain’s treasure.

It's 1753; the golden age of piracy is dead along with its famous Pirate Captains; still pirates are sailing the seas and Pirate Captain Nathanael Blackthorne is "out there" doing what he does best captaining the Ciara Morganse, seeking revenge, when Providence dumps a treasure on his deck: Cate Mackenzie, a Jacobite War criminal. It's a story of people, scarred of both spirit and flesh, coming to grips with that ol’ demon, Trust. It’s the story of what a man will do to preserve his most treasured. It’s the story of what a woman will risk to gain what she desires most.

'Kerry Lynne’s The Pirate Captain Chronicles of a Legend book series is riveting storytelling that demanded a unique audio drama to bring Lynne's characters to life. Director Neil Rosser has mixed an original musical score by Michael Vickerage, sound effects, and an all-star cast of Rosalyn Landor (narrator), Sam Hazeldine, Eleanor Tomlinson, Graham McTavish, Tom Mison, and many supporting actors, creating an exceptional production that fans refer to as an audio movie. Taking the long way!

I love this audio drama so much, I’m driving the long way to work and home and finding excuses to go on errands. Xoxo

Worth the wait-AND its WEIGHT-in GOLD! :-)

I have the full series of books (that are published so far). Absolutely LOVE this audio drama featuring the different character voices, as opposed to just one narrator. I have not heard an audio book done that way before. Voice actors were well chosen. You can believe you are listening to people who have lived the lives of those characters. The narrator sounds beautiful and refined. And Thomas's laugh....I want a ring tone of that!! I'm admittedly a sucker for a good pirate story....Nathan and Cate top the list! Well done, Kerry Lynne! I hope it's a boon for you in order to solidify the chances of the other books also becoming audio dramas in the future!

Love the full production, what fun!

it is hard to find good full-production audiobooks, this one is well done! I love the sounds of life at sea in the eighteenth century. I spent a year on a square rigger, and this took me back to Sea. just a fun listen, can't wait for the next one!!

Wow!

This is more than just an audiobook. It’s a a whole production. I read the books, so I already knew the story and writing was amazing. The narrators and sound effects bring the story to life. It’s like audio theater. Best audiobook ever.

Best audiobook ever!

This is by far the best audiobook/audio drama I have ever listened to. I love this story and have read the series 3 times and I love what they’ve done with it. I only wish we got all 3 books so I can keep listening right away.

Amazing audio...!

Wow, the Actors, Narrator, the music and the sound effects just made me feel like I was inside the story on a ship in the Caribbean (I wish), this is a brilliant production it isn't an audiobook, it's an audio movie ....gonna have to listen to it again, again and again.

This is the way audio books should be!

I have been following The Pirate Captain Nathan, Cate, and all the other scallywags for quite a few years...and this audio play version of the book really gives the book more depth and fascination for the characters. Everything is spot on, the actors really fill the characters up (especially Nathan!-Sam Hazeldine) but most especially the narrator Rosalyn Landor, who does
an excellent job. I love the background sounds and just the pure cadence of the book. If you haven't yet met this group of
characters yet , please discover them through this engaging audio play. You will not be disappointed!

Not worth the time!

I want my 20 something hours back! The performances were fine, but the story seemed to make a point to copy recognizable lines from Pirates of the Caribbean movies and has HUGE plot holes and gaps of missing information! The ending is concocted by just creating some unaddressed scenario then never tying up the loose ends!
