Publisher's summary

This 2-in-1 box set collects both installments in Liv Zander's Pale Court duet: King of Flesh and Bone and Queen of Rot and Pain. This duology is a dark-fantasy romance featuring a ruthless man, a woman who can't escape his love, and a Happily Ever After.

This world contains dark themes, violence, loss, and elements of horror some may find disturbing. What this book doesn't contain is a hero—because villains do it better.

Dual narration. Liked didn’t love

Apart from how completely irritating the mmc was in the second book for at least half of it, the story was great. There was no miscommunication in the second book. He just refused to listen to her completely. He chose not to trust her and silenced here every time she spoke. Apart from that getting old and annoying, the book was good. The dual narration didn’t bother me in this audio. The fmc narrator did a good male “god” voice. The male narration did a decent job with the female voice as well.
