While names of victims and locales have been changed, with elements fictionalized, The Original Night Stalker is about a real-life serial killer who terrorized different parts of Southern California from December 30, 1979, to July 27, 1981, with one last known murder on May 4, 1986. He has never been caught and is possibly still on the loose to this day. While not a comprehensive analysis of how this person came to be the original Night Stalker, this book intends to offer insight into what kind of person he was, how he murdered these victims, and even peeks into why.
