Most enthralling dystopian series I’ve ever read!

I cannot get enough of this series. Forest, Fallon, and Xavier are such dynamic characters, keeping me on my toes at all times. Highly recommend!

Writing needed more editing

This is a fun dystopian read that has an enjoyable plot, but the writing is definitely underdeveloped. Some odd writing habits that could have been fixed by a stronger editor. Ex "positioned in a defensive position" as opposed to "positioned in a defensive stance" She also refers to so many of the central characters as "the man" or by their hair color randomly throughout the book and it reads awkwardly. The romance elements feel sudden and overstated especially towards the beginning of the book. Everyone is lusting after each other. Still an enjoyable read just not the best writing.

so, story is promising but hard to follow. seems to need an editor to clean it up

I honestly loved it, I feel like it had almost every single trope you can think of! Definitely a good listen! I also loved hearing from everyone’s POV

a prime example

there were so many elements that I liked about this book and story.
1 the story line was fresh in a way. it felt new it takes things that we love about other fantasy settings and said. "hold my thesaurus"
and unfortunately the writer probably could have used a thesaurus at least 182 times in this book.
there were also elements that felt tossed in as if in after thought but with the style of the writer it would be tricky to weave things in ad lib.
the writing was good! it was just a little bit robotic at times. however the story is worth it if you're tired of the same stories and want something new.i admit if I can listen to them on subscription I will listen. of not then I'm not paying for or spending a credit on this series.
