Turn the light on if you want, but that just makes for more shadows.

Whoa! Too much animal death.

I dislike this cheap grab @ harming animals & non-humans for a cheap grab @ attention. It's upsetting not a thriller but a way to distract & make sure you are feeling like you aren't in control. I'm just stopping at the last 2 hours. I really enjoy trying others on but these aren't very well done. Narrator does a nice job indeed 👏. Some of the stories just - end. Which makes zero sense 🤔. Thx

Excellent Collection

Ignore the nay-sayers, especially the one-star review. This collection is definitely worth a credit.

The stores were a bit hard to follow sometimes. However I enjoy listening to the stories.

Stephen G Jones is the Best!

Some real masterpieces in here, and great early insight into characters and stories that have developed in his mind for years. If you've read "My Heart is a Chainsaw" you'll recognize Stacey Graves in his very first published short story, included here!

Good Stuff

Usually with an anthology there’s at least one stinker, but I genuinely enjoyed every one of these. Sure, some were better than others, but they all kept my attention. No small task I assure you.

I honestly love everything Jones does

Not a huge fan of this narrator. He seemed bored. But I do love the stories. Some I kinda lost where I was and what was going on. But honestly I blame myself cause I’m dumb and also the narration just having no emotion.

don’t listen if you need to understand everything about a story— this anthology is weird and liminal and got under my skin, i thought about it constantly when i wasn’t listening. this guy rules

Great short stories

Each of these short stories is The quick kiss in the dark that King promised us. (Stephen King into to Night Shift). Narrator is fabulous!

I guess I am not the right person for this.

I am confused about this book. I like the horror that aims to cryptic dialogues or situation but inctjid case most of the time I didn't get what was going on. I listen again some stories just to be sure and even read the physical book. I guess I do not click with this writer. it happens.

I skipped the last two chapters. The stories were pretty good, actually, but the 50's Disney documentary voiced narrator ruined them all. Avoid titles read by Rich Miller.
