Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes a romantic comedy novella about the magic and misadventures of a one-night stand.

Recently divorced Cooper Chance knows he’s officially in a rut when his parents take him barhopping in the hope of resuscitating his love life. At first, he’s skeptical. How could a gritty dive bar possibly solve his problems? But then he runs into Nora McHale.

Nora isn’t at the bar looking for love. She’s there to unwind after yet another exhausting day at her bakery. And even if she were hoping to meet someone, it sure wouldn’t be Cooper - her best friend’s ex-husband.

According to the unwritten rules of romance, Cooper and Nora are completely off limits to each other. But after a fun, flirty night at the bar, they can’t ignore the wild attraction between them.

Is this the beginning of something real, or will their passionate night together be their one and only?

Cliffhanger

Be prepared for a cliffhanger on this book. I’m generally okay with that if I know going in. Maybe I missed it in the book description.

Prequel

This is a fun short prequel to The Reunion. I loved Teddy Hamilton, his voice is always amazing. The female narrator grew on me, had to speed her up a bit. This short story was hilarious and fun! Can’t wait to start the next book!

Well, I’m hooked! Can’t wait to see where this continues with The Reunion

The way Meghan Quinn develops a story never ceases to amaze me. This is a prequel novella for The Reunion. I find often with prequel novellas you get a small connection to the characters, enough to amp up the excitement of the full length book a few notches. With this story, That One Night, I was full invested in the first chapter, the first few pages if I am honest. Meghan just does such a great job with her story and character development here. I am invested in the minor characters here. I loved this and can’t wait for more in The Reunion.

Teddy Hamilton is perfect for Cooper. He adds this extra grump, and snark, and playfulness that makes me so excited to what is next for Cooper. Laurie West was a new to me narrator. I really liked her voice and what she brought to Nora’s character. She was the perfect balance to Cooper.

What a wild and funny novella

I read somewhere that I should read this before the reunion and I glad I did. Cooper is spending another Friday night with his parents when they express concern that he's not putting himself out there, since his divorce. He makes a joke that leads to his parents going out with him on the spot to be his wing men and help him find a nice girl.

He heads to his local dive bar where they run in Nora. Best friends with his ex, he tries to remind his parents who quickly ditch him there with Nora. They spend the rest of the night having a goid time getting to know each other and Nora gets to see a different side of him that never showed through when he was married to her friend.

Before the night is over they end up at het place unable to resist the attraction they have for one another. But how will they feel in the morning?

Such a great prequel!

Even with a short read, Miss Quinn still managed to get me in all the feels. The backstory to The Reunion’s awesome couple, Cooper and Nora, I absolutely loved seeing the sneak peek into their amazing One Night they spoke of. And the narrators are pure perfection!

Loved it💕

Oh my gosh! I am mortified for poor Cooper! Bless his sweet parents for wanting to be his wingmen and try to find him a nice girl. I have been non-stop laughing😂

I looove how quick Teddy goes from ‘woe is me’ Cooper to ‘holy sh¡t’ Cooper🔥😍

Hopefully Coop figures things out in The Reunion❤️

Hilarious Novella

Once again, Meghan Quinn has me laughing so hard at her amazing writing. There is just something about her and how she takes the normal and makes it so hilarious.

Cooper is newly divorced and his parents take it upon themselves to be his wing man. When they con him into taking them to a bar, there they run into an old family friend, Nora. While they've known each other for most of their lives, Nora is also best friends with Cooper's ex wife. The two have an amazing night together but Cooper is instantly filled with regret in the morning.

The book ends on a cliffhanger, which Meghan told us it would! It's a little bit of a tease until the Reunion comes out in February and I can't wait. Nora is definitely not happy about how Cooper left so it's going to be a sizzling enemies to lovers romance and I can't wait.

Teddy Hamilton was amazing per the norm. Laurie West is a new to me narrator. She was good as Nora, who is a going to be a force to reckon with in the next book.

Very Short and will keep you wanting more!

Note - This Novella ends on a cliffhanger. The next book comes out in February of 2022 (or so I've heard).
