This is a perfect closer to the trio of stories. Laugh out loud funny, shed a few tears heart grabbing and hella sexy.

The third book

The first two books were so so but the third book had me laughing and loving this book!

FANTASTIC

This is the most fun if any collection I've ever bought. All happy endings but other strong emotions too. You can't go wrong with this set.


The Lockroom.... overall - 4, performance - 4, story - 4
The majority of this story was fun, lots of smiles. Them staying apart for so long over something so stupid drove me nuts. Life is short. Yep he needed to focus on his job but that was pretty well taken care of in less than half the time she made them stay apart.

The Dugout overall - 5, performance - 3, story - 5
Absolutely amazing story. It has all the feels, intense emotions. The first half was a constant smile then SLAM, tears. It moves quickly to me being mad at him for being such a jerk. Author did an amazing job. SY is always a pleasure to listen to. SP I have to play at 1.6 speed to make it through. I almost didn't buy this collection because she was reading but I'm so glad I did.

The Lineup overall - 5, performance - 5, story - 5
So, so fun! He is sensitive, thoughtful, yeah, a little over the top but everyone has a thing. She is fine but when she sets about deceiving him.... GGGGRRRRRR. The H was quirky but effeminate, not my ideal man. Oh my though - the hot parts were smokin'. SD did an excellent job with this Hero.

Long character development

Books one and two took some patience to get through. Hang in there for book three. It's the best of the trio!

Loved The Dugout and The Lineup.

I’m sure I would have loved the locker room story line but I couldn’t listen to the male narrator any more. I quit listening before they even got together. Ugh such a turn off.

Literally perfect!!

Obsessed with all the characters and storylines!! Want to listen to this on repeat forever!

It's worth for the lovers of a good old rom-com!

Three books. Each book with a different couple. All three books narrated by a different male and female narrator.
Just the way I love it!

I have my review for all three books posted separately, but I'll put my resume of the narrators and my rating for each book here.

1️⃣- The Locker Room - ⭐⭐⭐

I loved the start of this book!
Their connection was so strong that it was palpable!
It read super funny and make me laugh out loud a few times!

The reasons why they separate from each other still in college, or the 8 years before they even see each other again, although living in the same city, didn't sit well with me at all, and totally ruined the fun and carefree vibe that I was having with this book, and the whole "always and forever" kinda of love that the author portrait until then.

5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to Felicity Monroe, because she carried the book on her back! Literally! Her chapters were funny and incredibly well done, full of emotions and wits.
1 ⭐ to Rock Engle, because unfortunately, I can't say the same for him.
His voice were too old to be Knox and he looked like a drunk man in almost the entire book! Dragging words and eating up letters while forcing an accent that didn't fit at all. His words weren't clear, and I had a hard time to understand him a bunch of times.

At the end, I wish the book were narrated by a single person, even if I always prefer the dual one.

2️⃣- The Dugout - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Again I loved how the author built up their relationship and their connection, and how devoted to each other they both were.

Also again the plot twist was a little bit dramatic in my opinion, especially if this is a light sports ROM-COM.
At least their separation were of 3 years, and not the 8 years as the previous book, and also didn't involved other men/women.... Small mercies that I'm thankful for.

5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York, who performed the whole story with emotion and talent!

3️⃣- The Lineup - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The last book on the Audible collection of The Brentwood Boys starts a loooot like an enemies to lovers...
Still with funny moments and with Jason being so drama queen and so exaggerated in his antics, that he's the one to make you laugh out loud in this book.

I reaaaally enjoyed much more this book than the previous one too.
This is the funniest and sensible man between the guys, matching with the grumpiest and coldest woman between the girls... a real good recipe for a hilarious rom-com.

Jason was such a different character!
He was a bag full of contradictions and I loved each and everyone of them.
Dottie was the cold side of their relationship until she lost him... And that was all on her too, so I couldn't help the girl.

Bonus points for the break on the cycle of years apart, after the plot twist... I couldn't handle another couple doing their own thing for years!

4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for both!
Maxine Mitchell gave life to the cold Dottie and I really loved how perfect for her she was.
Stephen Dexter did an amazing job bringing Jason to life, but he also exaggerated so much in Jason's antics, that Jason looked like a gay in his playfulness, not just a funny guy.

Lots of listening ahead

This is a compilation of the first three from the Brentwood series.  All three stories revolve around baseball and women who need to grow up. Each is brilliant in their own way. In business and baseball they excel and are smart and sophisticated, but in relationships they've all got some major maturing to do.  They do all eventually figure it out with some wonderful and incredibly patient mennand get their HEA's. It's a fun listen that is wonderfully narrated.  Pls know I'm probably somewhat outside the target audience for this story line so take with a grain of salt.

3 books in one!

I love how Megan carried one storyline into the next books.

The starting of the series was a bit slow, but once the introductions were over it quickly became my favorite book.
