When Mariah Clarke prayed for a way to deter a bullying suitor, she didn't imagine she'd find the answer washed ashore on a desolate beach. Convincing Adam that he is her husband is surprisingly easy. Resisting the temptation to act his wife, in every way, will prove anything but. And now a passion begun in fantasy has become dangerously real-and completely irresistible...

First, I get that the duality of religion fed the hero's half-breed intercultural "feel;" but it kindof felt offensive to both Hindu & Christianity. It was like hitting the nail on the head too much & denting the main thing. It was intended to be beautiful, but despite certain parts being described so...it didnt land well. In fact, it read like an overly romancized version of Hindu & a complete misunderstanding of Christianity to the point of offending both. But was it a main plot or storyline hindrance? Not particularly.
Second was the silly way heroine's family reunited. The years & misbehavior & abandonment & lies just got glossed over & turned the characters into caricatures. Real people would not have lightheartedly giggled their way joyously over those things. This was near the end, so yes, confusing & odd. But did it mar any of the rest of the main story? Not at all.
The HEA was still satisfying on all levels. Nicely done, overall. 4.5 stars.

Intricate story line , had to focus to not miss any of the plot lines being brought together in the last chapters of the book.
