As Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy begin to uncover the mystery behind Mr. Witting's disappearance, they must face their faults and previous prejudices. The closed off man she once knew now reveals himself to be a loyal and kind man. No longer can she consider him to be the same person derided by Mr. Wickham.

It soon becomes clear that Witting was more than just a lowly servant and his disappearance no accident. The investigation sheds light on a conspiracy that reaches further than anyone could have imagined, threatening to bring down the entire country with it. As they delve deeper into the hidden web of corruption and betrayal and put their very lives at risk, will their love be strong enough to survive?

No bad, some interesting history but kind of lack luster.

This is a passable variation. I wouldn’t be pulling this off the shelf again anytime soon but it served its purpose. A few kind of weird moments and the timeline at the beginning is a little disjointed. Darcy is kind of a background character. There’s no witty conversation just x happens, then y then z.

Mystery in Meryton

Interesting story with historical Luddites causing trouble amid Darcy and Elizabeth finding romance. Excellent narration by Stevie Zimmerman, who does a great Darcy. ❤️

Fantastic narration, great story

I liked that it didn't go too hard into espionage, but just enough to be different and interesting. I enjoy this author and this is THE best female P&P narrator--she narrates so many of the 200+- P&P variations I've read, with good reason!

Perfect short story!

I loved this low angst adventure. Lydia has more insight in this story which was quite a delight. This narrator is always a 5!

Confusing emotional trajectory

The evolution of Lizzy’s feelings is odd and the intimacy between them is unearned. Just uneven.
