Home Alone at Longbourn

It's nearly Christmas at Longbourn. Elizabeth Bennet's beloved sister Jane has just wed Charles Bingley, mere weeks after the Netherfield Ball. Elizabeth's best friend Charlotte has married Mr. Collins. Elizabeth's nemesis, Mr. Darcy, has departed the county, while her favorite relations, the Gardiners, have come up from London. She ought to be overjoyed. Instead, she's miserable.

So much fun

This is just what I expected and was not disappointed. When are we getting Home Alone 2 - Lost in London? ;)

Funny story

In this story Elizabeth is forgotten at Longbourn when her family travelled at Christmas to see Jane and mr Bingley. Mr Darcy and his sister is also on their way north and meets up with Elizabeth. Great Jaff.

Chaotic Fun!

I won’t even wait for next holiday season to listen to this again. I loved it.

This time it’s Jayne Bamber’s excellent writing again, but instead of the usual mashup we expect from her she has combined our dear characters from P&P with a very famous movie. She got everything perfect.

No spoilers here, just a highly recommended.

A laughing fun time

The first part is from my reading the ebook about a year ago when it came out and below that is my reaction to the audiobook that was just released.

Combine P&P with the movie, Home Alone, and you get this enjoyable holiday romp of a story. There's loads of Darcy and Elizabeth page time that is encouraged by several people around them. Love Mrs Hill and Mrs Annesley! This is a story that I will gladly read again! The last line in the story is perfect!

Oh this audiobook has made this story even BETTER!!! Harry Frost did an amazing job bringing the laughter through and it will be one that I will listen to again & again!!!

Great narration

Predictable but fun. Darcy and Elizabeth get together after Elizabeth gets left at home alone due to confusion of her family heading north
