The Light of Andwaar

Four years ago, Jesse Luxman woke up to find that his older sister was gone. Now 13 years old, he is the only one who believes she is still alive. His plans to find her are interrupted when he discovers a mysterious journal in the attic of a house abandoned for the last 100 years. After inviting themselves in, Jesse has no choice to but to allow the persistent girl next door, Clara, and her cantankerous brother, Eddie, to tag along. The journal leads them through a hidden passage into Andwaar, a world filled with magic, tree-dwelling people, and stompy dances.

Snedaker has stolen the Guardianship of Andwaar and has been systematically eliminating the Order of the Deep Earth. When news arrives that intruders have come from the Other Side, the Guardian sends his Watchmen to intercept the threat.

While trying to find the way back, Jesse realizes that Andwaar may hold the key to his family’s history. Torn between going home and finding answers, he will have to rely on his new friends and learn to control the light he has been gifted.

Audio was a little choppy but a great book

The book was well written and enjoyable, especially considering this seems to be the authors first fantasy book. I'm a suckered for fantasy stories where the protagonist is whisked into another world and discovers he/she has magical powers and this book fits the bill. I home Adam continues his writing career
