rascal does dream of bunny girl senpai

really wanted to like it more than I have so far.

I am far more interested in the flash backs than the current story where the mc keeps fucking up.

ignore the poor reviews this is a good book!

I originally passed on this book because of the poor reviews. I continued to just ignore it whenever it came up based on those reviews. however, having read through nearly 1,000 books over the past 3 years, I ran out of things to read. that meant it was time to hit the maybe never pile.

I was surprised to find a well edited and entertaining story. a main character who has been through hardship and tragedy and come out the other side with a strong will but who would love some peace and quiet. Sadly, that's not in the cards for him, and to protect those he cares about, he is forced to engage with the world.

I don't understand why the reviews are so bad on this book, and it almost seems like an organized attempt to shut down the author. I hope you give it a try and find it as enjoyable as I have.

started off strong, but quickly got tedious

interesting premise.
but most of the book is dedicated to how the protagonist feels about his ambiguous relationship with a girl decades younger than him.
MC "discovers" new ways to use magic that would have been long discovered in any world that had magic for longer than a few decades.
apparently it only takes a couple weeks to become a master swordfighter.

The narration was stiff and delivered with such deliberately careful annunciation that the characters didn't feel like real people.

I'm being overly negative, it's not bad, but not good.

Better than I thought

It’s a very interesting book, it follows the usual isekai story lines. New world, new people, getting in trouble, girl interest, somewhat adventuring.
Bland but better than other books I have read.
So overall it’s a good book. Think of it more as a taste as to what the series will be about. If you like it, continue to book 2, if not, then it was a good read.

interesting

The idea behind the book is a very interesting one and I can somewhat get behind the mc's way of thinking so no worries there. Where it loses points for me is that the whole book seems like it was a short prolog story that got dragged out an extra 2 hours.

fun book with an unsatisfying ending

the book was fine I enjoyed the characters and the story. it started off fun but then it got really slow in the middle, and then the end was just like "slap" all the sudden. but it wasn't that satisfying I don't want to spoil anything so I'm not really going to go into it.
just know it's a fun book but no masterpiece.

Stupidity

This guy has three lives of experience but somehow messes everything up from day 1. Falls for old tricks he said he should have seen coming and falls into the same pattern. I don’t understand, the author builds up this character the entire story but somehow he is still not competent. If he bungled his way through all his previous lives the story would make a lot more sense. 4/5 because the writing was decent and I liked the premise.

Decent book. But, pretty uneventful.

Characters were well written, story was well told. However, very little was revealed or happened. There wasn't really a good incentive to get the second book. No main villain, goal, next step.

Had a lot of potential but fell short. I love the idea of the book but the story is lagging, I do the writing stial so 3/5

bland

It's a fun story idea but the delivery is just to slow. There's no purpose to anything the MC is doing. No entertaining goals or plot points worth thinking about. MC does something stupid, ends up in prison, and just sits there when he didn't do anything worth keeping him there for.
