Bouchard suspects that nameless John is a serial killer she's been hunting - a man known to the BPD as the Fisherman. The suspect has been snatching homeless women and prostitutes off the streets from Portland to Boston, and Bouchard needs Houston if she's going to catch him.

Against Houston's better judgment, Bouchard also turns to mob boss Jimmy O'Leary for advice. Not only does O'Leary have a hand in most of the crime that occurs in Boston, but he also knows a few Russian bosses and pimps who are angry that their employees are no longer on the job. With help from the darker side of Boston, Bouchard and Houston hope to locate the Fisherman before it's too late for Cheryl and his other victims.

Wow I loved it! 

This was an excellent book! Very well written the story was intriguing and captivating. It pulled you right in from the beginning. The characters were perfectly developed. I love the connection between the main characters, but I also love the fact that it was in New England between Boston and Maine, especially Northern Maine. The author is phenomenal and deserves recognition. he reminds me of John Sanford. Excellent thriller. Looking forward to reading the rest of his books!

very effective narrator

not a bad story but the authors apparent need to have constant cliffhanger crises and implausible resolutions detracts from the story. the narrator did an exceptional job Hope portraying the Boston characters. The book left me tired

Great action story

The Fisherman was described as having low intellectual ability due to TBI. However, as the story progressed, he as making high level strategic decisions as he ran from authorities. That did not match.

Ugh! The voice.

I liked this book. It was a great thriller but the narrator's voices were awful. If the story hadn't been so good, or if it hadn't grabbed my attention quickly, then I would have deleted it.

Good plot

Even though I put on there that there was a good plot. The author spent a lot of time describing events that I didn’t understand. It was like he was telling two stories one story with a Serial Killers, and one story with the Russian mob. They were two antagonist and two heroes, I listen to this as an audio and the narrator really sucked at.
