Can you win life’s battles without losing yourself?

Life is full of trials, and sometimes you need a warrior spirit to overcome them. Award-winning attorney Heather Hansen has spent over 20 years fighting on the battlefields of the courts - but even in her fiercest clashes, she’s remained true to herself and her principles. She shares her journey to becoming an elegant warrior, and imparts the wisdom she’s learned from her decades on the bar.

Armed with the tools and techniques she’s honed in the courtroom, Hansen makes the case that anyone can become an elegant warrior: someone who fights adversity, with grace, and compassion, and battles without losing respect for themselves and their adversaries.

Using real-life case studies and personal stories from the fast-paced courtroom arena, Hansen teaches you how to triumph over your own struggles. From overcoming the curse of knowledge to discovering the power of how, you’ll learn how to tap into your own personal strengths to face whatever challenges come your way.

We all have to go to war at times. Sometimes the combat zone is your home; sometimes it’s the office. And sometimes, it’s your inner world. As an elegant warrior, you’ll be armed with the confidence, wisdom, and skills to enter the fray and remain true to yourself.

Written and Read very well...

I learned to Listen, Think, and Cope with the outcome in all situations, and I can be elegant at the same time, no matter what always think before reacting....

Appreciate the connections

The author brings content to life with stories and her real life experiences. The connections to her health law, Med-Mal takeaways and approach are transferable to everyday situations. Nicely crafted storytelling.
Thank you!

Great advice for anyone!

So I'm a business owner and I see a therapist/life coach to help me with some of the stress I feel about my work and decision making. He recommended this book and I'm so glad I read it (listened to it). The author is an attorney and many stories are about her experiences in the courtroom but she relates them all to any person/profession. I feel like I've acquired some coping skills after reading this!

LOVED THIS

I have been told all my life, I should have been a lawyer! I loved this book. I loved the way the author used her legal life and process to relate to real world and life issues. Build trust, do what you say you will do, having compassion. These and more are things she points to as things you must do to win. They are also things you must do in life. This is not about being a sleazy lawyer. It is about building trust is building trust, whether it be with a jury or in a relationship. Life lessons or dealing with life’s issues and challenges with compassion and choosing when to fight and when to compromise, and doing either with grace and intention. The author actually also did a great job narrating. That isn’t always the case and can be tricky. Not in this case. I totally enjoyed this book.

Being elegant

The one item that I got from this book is you need to be prepared and be in the moment to be elegant. If not you may react instead of stating your case!
