Publisher's summary

There are usually two types of luck, but only one seems to visit a certain Dungeon Core....

Being in charge of her own dungeon instead of just being an Assistant to a Dungeon Core was a unique experience for Tacca GloomLily, especially after her “bad luck” resulted in her soul being sucked into a Core. Thankfully, she persevered through the strange experience and created a dungeon that she knew Raiders would say was suitable for “beginners”, otherwise known as brand-new Raider Clan recruits. After opening up her dungeon to the world, her entrance was finally located by two local Hill Dwarf farmers, who barely managed to survive their exploratory delve only through Tacca’s intervening actions. With them safely away and able to tell everyone about her dungeon’s presence, she now has to prepare for the flood of Raiders that she hopes will soon appear.

Along with Shale IronSchist, her own Dungeon Assistant, Tacca has to develop a way to maximize the few Core Improvement Points she is planning on receiving from the Raider’s presence in her dungeon, as well as what she gains from their deaths. Not only that, but she needs to start thinking towards the future; along with restocking and maintaining her original dungeon, she has to expand into a new section that can adapt to Raiders that grow too powerful to benefit from what she currently has to offer.

But not all is as calm outside of her dungeon as it seems. Locally, the two Hill Dwarves that first found her dungeon set up their village to accommodate the influx of new people; however, Raiders from the Clan aren’t the only ones to arrive: Merchants come looking to send their own people to the dungeon, bringing their own problems and dangers with them. Globally, Dungeon Cores that shouldn’t be destroyed are ending up shattered, and no one can seem to figure out why.

And just her luck, Tacca seems to be in the middle of it all....

This story contains Dungeon Core elements such as dungeon construction and defense, LitRPG/GameLit mechanics such as character progression and stats, and contains no harems/sexual content or profanity.

An amazing continuation to the series

Tacca is back for the second installment of the Dungeon Fairy Book 2. I loved getting to see Tacca's continued journey with Shale and her favorite hill dwarves. It was great seeing her dungeon become improved and I loved seeing her training the raiders in the way she will be running her dungeon. The improved aspects of the different factions of the world really helped improve the setting and added new possibilities that we could see in future books. I can't wait for the third book to be released in this series so I can see in what direction she takes her dungeon next.

Reminds me of the Divine Dungeon Series.

I love the Divine Dungeon Series and this reminds me of it a lot, so I can't help but compare them. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, but thought the story was a bit lacking. Not enough conflict and little character growth. If I never listened to the Divine Dungeon Series I would have rated the story at 5 stars. I liked this book and recommend it to any one who likes dungeon core stories.

Love the story..but.

There was a few instances when the performance and narration seemed to overlap or were layered on top of eachother. It was very distracting and hard to pick out what was being said and by what character.

Another great book!

I couldn't put this book down! Brooks does an excellent job with this series once again and the ending gives enough of a taste of what is to come that I cant wait until the next book comes out.

flipped, not twisted

In contrast to the previous book this pragmatism is successful in the 1st half of this book with the out of nowhere - for survival for no reason at the end.

This is awesome!

This is awesome and is a great continuation of the series. Love how this story is developing. Not sure if other people have had this issue also or if my device downloaded the book incorrectly but towards the end of the book, there was some chapter cross over where when listening to that particular part in the book another part from a previous chapter was played alongside it. Which was jarring.

Even better than the first

I like the first book in the series because it had an interesting concept and the main character was crafty, but this book was action and packed and plot driven. I felt like so much happened in such a short period of time. There was never a dull moment. It leaves so much potential for the next book in the series, while not holding back one bit. I loved it.

This is one of those important bridge books

Well there is not as much action in this book is there was in the 1st as the author says it's more about getting to know the conflicts and the people among the raiders and the merchants and setting us up to get To know the world more and the people in the side of it so that we can be ready for the next book

Jonathan brooks gets us LITRPG dungeon addicts

Jonathan Brooks gets us LITRPG dungeon addicts. I have read/listened to numerous of his tales and they are phenomenal. This is the tale of a fairy who has been changed into a dungeon core and is working on developing herself into a better dungeon. Full of raiders going and battling through the dungeon, guild politics outside the dungeon, plenty of crunchy stats as the dungeon develops. Unique twists to the dungeon builds and even the appearances of some terrible entities seeking the destruction of dungeon cores including hers. This is a very well written and well narrated tale that can be listened to on its own but flows better if you get the first one for a better grasp. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher
