Resumen del Editor

Contains the first three books in the Dungeon Crafting series!

  1. The Crafter’s Dungeon
  2. The Crafter’s Defense
  3. The Crafter’s Dilemma

What happens when a knowledgeable crafter becomes a Dungeon Core?

Sandra had been a merchant traveling through the human lands of Muriel, though that wouldn’t have been her chosen profession. What she would’ve loved to become was a crafter, producing wondrous creations with her own two hands; however, she didn’t want to become a master in just one craft she was interested in them all. Sadly, she was born with a deformity in her hands which hindered her ability to produce crafts, though that didn’t affect her enthusiasm; she sought out the masters of a myriad of different crafts so that she could learn as much about crafting as she could. It was that pursuit of knowledge that ultimately led to her untimely death.

Reborn as a tiny Dungeon Core, Sandra had to learn about the purpose behind dungeons and Cores from an assigned dungeon helper. Through some unique circumstances based on her previous life, she also discovered that she had much more freedom than most other Dungeon Cores throughout the world. Unfortunately, the repercussions of her mere existence would end up being extensive, as she would find, though at first she doesn’t quite realize how much. In fact, the only thing she was concerned about had nothing to do with other Cores, the presence of the different mortal races nearby her location, or even the real purpose behind her being brought back to life as a strange glowing gem.

No, Sandra didn’t care about any of that; all she cared about was that she could finally do some crafting.

These Dungeon Core stories contain LitRPG/GameLit elements such as statistics, leveling, and a heavy crafting emphasis. No profanity and no harems.

With great power comes great.........headaches?

This one takes a somewhat different direction to most of Jonathan Brooks dungeon core series. Arguably Sandra has special advantages that are severely over-powered, unfortunately making use of them to protect the races around her dungeon's location from being wiped out by the other dungeons only makes her job harder. This is also one of the least stat-table heavy series he has made (I haven't made it through all of his series yet, so maybe there is one that is less, but I doubt it). It is a very interesting first-half to the series, with solid progress in both character development and plot development, and it ends with leaving you wondering just how Sandra is going to save herself and the mortal races near her. It definitely left me looking forward to the next volume, though I'm planning on waiting for the second-half collection so I can enjoy it all in one go instead of being left hanging between books. This is definitely looking to be one of his best dungeon core series over all, and the narrator he's using this time is doing a great job with the series.

Fun story. A few annoying things…

Story is pretty good. Sandra the dungeon is fun. Her crafting is neat but under utilized.

The 2 annoying parts are first the long list of crafting materials that the book lists off to many times. And the “rules” of dungeons that Sandra is supposedly exempt from bites her in the ass more often then not. Her dungeon fairy which is suppose to be an expert on all things dungeons can’t even help because she can’t remember the “rules” or is held back from talking because of some “creator.” Leading to issues that pop up randomly. Also the fact that the “contracted” dungeons have clauses for the never before created non contracted dungeon is really just stupid.

Great change of pace, POV from the dungeon GREAT

I was a little iffy about Louise Cooksey narration style for a solid hour or two into the first book, just was not a fan of the over-inflections she used. That being said she slowly grows on you. The story is pretty neat, not giving anything away. Normally I like to hear the status of the characters, this book may take it to the extreme in some cases - I found myself skipping for the first time when the book started to discuss available "cores" and other materials (even when they were locked out). Would have liked to see this less often as it is important but the areas in which used....just makes the story grind to a halt.

Great book, get it for a fun listen!

Great Read

I love the LitRPG genre and Brooks is a master of it. I have read the Station Core and Dungeon Core series prior to this. Luckily he writes fast so I won’t run out of reading material for awhile.

Great approach to Dungeon Core books

This has to be one of my favorite Dungeon Core series. It is the first Crafting Dungeon Core books I have ever listened to, and it was just so much Damn fun I can't wait for more. The entire series is exciting, fun and captivating. I don't know what type of magic wand you used to create this one, but keep creating I can't wait for more!!

slow start but gets real good

this series starts out slow took me book 2 to really start liking this series first book is more of a get to know Sandra in her life befor she becomes the core an how she learns what it is to be a core the 2nd book gets more in to her building an finding out that dungeons are hated by most races an they will go out an destroy cores well she wants to change that by helping them out an also by giving them some unque gifts. 3rd book is more of her trying to get the trust of the other races as she finds a undead dungeon that could be a threat so she battles it an finds out it is tougher then she thought an also finally meets a dwarf were she hopes he will help her to get them to trust her as a dungeon. i gave performance a 3 cause sometimes i could here background noises that distracted me from the narrator. an also the narrator for the first few books was not constituent with her voice. sometime she would be very nasal sounding an then other time way to high pitch or to low . by book 3 though seem like she got it down an sounded better or maybe her way of doing the narration finally grew on me. one thing to add if you are wondering and were like me an all ready got book 1 befor this came out it is set up so you can find book 2 an 3 very easy some series i got like this had a hard time finding the 2 slash 3 4th book

Awesome

Starts off a bit slow, once MC becomes a core (as she feels things out in her new form) , but book picks up and becomes hard to put down.
