mafia romance

I enjoyed lIstening to this mafia romance story. the relationship between Brenna and Jacob developed throughout this story. Brenna was shy, quiet, shielded ,granddaughter of the Irish mob. she had a fire underneath, that made her become, the strong woman she needed to be.
Jacob, strong, dominant was hiding a secret that haunted him. He accepted the arranged marriage, as his duty to his family.
Eva Caine and Walker Williams narration is very good.

Family, betrayal, revenge, love

This was an amazing job with narrators. I loved listening to it. It had suspense, family ties, revenge, love, angst. Held my attention from beginning to end.

This is the first book in the Brooklyn Kings Series. Jacob and Brenna's story is well written, and captivating. Jacob, son of the head of the Italian syndicate, is enigmatic, ruthless, and protective. Brenna, granddaughter of the Irish mob’s leader, is beautiful, strong, smart, and brave. They are both interesting characters. The storyline is intricate, and enthralling. I liked the twists and turns in the story. This is an excellent Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance. I enjoyed it. Eva Caine and Walker Williams did an excellent job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to The Enemy in My Bed, the next book in the series. If you like Mafia Romance, this series is for you. #TheFlock

Captivating

I absolutely loved Brenna and Jacob! I was drawn into this story right from the very start. I loved the way that Jacob and Brenna's relationship bloomed. Brenna was great! I loved her strength and bravery as she tackled becoming the Brooklyn Kings mafia queen. This story was fast paced with an addicting storyline and amazing characters. I really enjoyed this story and can't for the rest of the series!
Eva Caine and Walker Williams are excellent narrators who did a great. job capturing the emotions of Brenna and Jacob. I really enjoyed listening to these two as they brought this story to life.

Fantastic start to a new series

A fantastic start to the Brooklyn Kings series. This was a highly addictive story that captivated me from page one. From the plot to the narrating I was hooked and devoured the book

Excellent Audiobook

I absolutely love the books LK Shaw writes! She writes well with great storylines and excellent characters. I was so happy to be traveling so I didn't have many interruptions when listening to this! I started this series in the middle. I loved it so much that I began reading the books I missed. Listening to it just brought more to the story. My heart squeezed throughout this book. Jacob and Brenna are favorite characters. I'm so invested in the characters. They are like family.

Eva Caine and Walker Williams are EXCELLENT narrators. I totally zoned out and was able to live in the story. Their performances were perfection. Love their voices.

The Devil I Don’t Know

This is the first book in the Brooklyn Kings series. I think all books will be stand-alone books. This is a Mafia romance. Jacob is the estranged son of the Italian Mafia. He is called to come take is spot as the head due to his father’s health. Brenna is the granddaughter of the Irish Mafia. They are to have an arranged marriage. I really enjoyed this book. Eva Caine and Walker Williams did a phenomenal job narrating this book.

Crazy Awesome Good

The story was way better than I anticipated. The narrators were so good. Emilio (aka Jacob) and Brenna meet on the day they get married as part of a union to bring the Irish and Italian mafia families together for added manpower against the Russians. And Jacob is the new King of the family as his father only has a few months to live. Don’t miss the chance to see how Brenna is stronger than expected and the ways she surprises people. And how the two of them take on the world.
