Surprisingly sweet 🤗💜

Giovanni and Francesca's journey to an HEA was surprisingly short & sweet. This one was different from books 1&2 because it was a love story already in motion. These two had been circling each other for a while and it was finally their time. I love how patient and considerate G is towards F and pretty much leaves it to her to set their pace because of her past. The story doesn't get too heavy into details on her past but we still learn more than before. I like how every book has been building so we still get to see the progress of the other couples throughout.

Great story, wonderful narration again. I'm loving these 2 as they are the perfect balance for each other. Both convey lots of emotion in their performances and sound great together making the POV transitions very clean.

Forbidden Lovers Mafia Romance

The Beast I Can't Tame by LK Shaw is a forbidden lovers mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Eva Caine and Walker Williams. This is the third book in the Brooklyn Kings series.

This is the third book of LK's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Giovanni and Francesca. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Irish Devil to be released on audio so I can get Aurora and Jack's story.

Eva and Walker did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like forbidden romances, mafia romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

Great Slow Burn Romance

This is the third book in the Brooklyn Kings Series, a Mafia Romance. Giovanni/Gio and Francesca's slow burn romance is filled with drama, secrets, and twists and turns. I liked Gio's determination. Eva Caine and Walker Williams did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Irish Devil, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio

Sometimes, fate knows exactly what she’s doing

Francesca has experienced something in life that no woman should ever be at risk of going through. She’s come out the other side as a survivor, thanks to her brother Pierce & cousin Jacob, and she’s putting on a good front. But this woman’s outer appearance doesn’t reflect her true inner feelings at all. This is something that Giovani picked up on, & I love him for it. He’s loved her from afar for multiple reasons. One, because he knew she needed to be handled with velvet gloves, and two, he wanted to make something of himself before he made himself hers. But Francesca has loved him from afar as well.

When a significant revelation comes to light, Gio has had enough of holding himself back. He wants to love and be loved. But I absolutely adore the way that he ensures Francesca that she has absolute control. He shows the depth of his love from day one in their relationship. And I really admired the way that Francesca was there for him every time he needed someone, how she found the strength within herself to be what he needed when he needed it.

These two character are 2 of the strongest characters in my opinion just because of what they’ve been able to overcome and yet still give support so fully. Both were able to appear strong in the face of adversity, yet at the same time appear to be vulnerable, but a giving rock for the other.

Audio Review:
Walker Williams & Eva Caine were phenomenal. Eva delivered the emotional side of Francesca with poise & grace. Walker’s ability to deliver a character with so many emotions was on point.

Book 3 - Brooklyn Kings series

This is book 3 in Shaw's Brooklyn Kings series and while this can be read / listened as a standalone, I would recommend that you read / listen in series order as the families and characters interconnect. I will say that while I thought this book was really good, it wasn't my favorite in the series, but I was so glad to have Giovanni and Francesca's story! The dual narration by Caine and Williams was wonderful and brought these two main characters (and sub characters) to life in the best way possible. Overall a good storyline but at times felt slow, then rushed to me. I loved the ending and the teaser of more to more! Sweet with heat and of course since this is a mafia family romance there is danger and betrayal as well. I felt this was a good addition to the series and I'm definitely looking forward to more!
