I absolutely loved hearing both male and female parts in this story. I always get the context when the male is imitating the female and vice versa it makes the story so much better when it is blended. Thank you

Great narration, enjoyable story. I will buy just about any romance story that Troy Duran narrates. First time listening to this author, I really enjoyed the story and due to the cliffhanger, just purchased the rest of the series!

Just a review

Sometimes her story can be redundant but I do like the connection of characters from some of the books into other series. Of course I enjoy the intimate scenes. The way this one ended definitely left the reader on a cliff hanger

The ending…. It’s a bit of a cliff hanger.. but you can move right on to the next book!!!

⭐️ LOVED IT ⭐️.. BUT CLIFFHANGER/TRILOGY WARNING

This listen had my full attention from the start as Savannah and Falcon first meet, share a passionate kiss, deny their intense chemistry and walk away. However, Fate has other ideas when Parole Officer Savannah and Parolee Falcon meet again and again, try to resist the pull but inevitably break all the rules. The tattooed, damaged, wealthy ex con is innocent of the crime that cost him years.. but there’s a treasure-trove of intrigue and secrets surrounding his life. They very quickly leave caution.. and slow.. and boundary lines behind for fast.. and heated.. and forbidden. Savannah is eager and willing to break all the rules for the handsome hungry hunk and he’s certifiably obsessed with ‘Vannah too.. for today.. because he can’t and doesn’t promise her any tomorrows. But it turns out he’s not the only one with dangerous secrets.

Worth a credit? Abso-freakin’-lutely YES YES YES. The non-stop storyline about likeable Savannah and alpha-delicious Falcon was very addictive and had a cast of secondary characters, intrigue, secrets, sizzles and steam. The duet-style narration by Troy and Angelina gave it realism and they were great. However, with this style of narration, you really DON’T NEED all the annoying he said.. she said.. Savannah says.. I replied.. etc etc etc.. one scene had twenty of them!! And then there’s the almighty CLIFFHANGER ending. Yes book 2 has just been released, but this (I’ve just found out) is a TRILOGY folks and the 3rd book isn’t due for publication until February 2024. At the end, this author certainly knows how to leave you gasping and greedily salivating for more.. however. I won’t be listening to book 2 until all three are out on Audible - although I’m very very tempted… oh who’m I kidding 😋😛🥰😉🤭.

Love Troy Duran

The story has teeth but way too repetitive and I am still trying to get through her Follow Me Darkly series because each book keeps telling the same things over and over. I was hoping this series wouldn’t be that way, so yes, I’m on to book two but one review said it’s a trilogy (at least with this author)🤷‍♀️so it will be a long wait for book 3🥲

Unconditional Love

I love the suspense the unwavering support that Flacon has for those he love. Oh and most of all keeping a secret.

Gurt-Gurt…*snore* It’s horrible. Skip it.

First of all, “Gurt” is 𝘯𝘰𝘵 a cute name. It sounds like a gastrointestinal problem. I also cannot stand repetition, internal monologue, or incessantly mundane detail. Sadly, those make up the content of this book. It is so sorely lacking that it was painful to endure. It was just boring nonsense on repeat. For example: 1. We know that Raven and Robin are not identical twins. 2. We know that Falcon is innocent. 3. We know that Savannah is Falcon’s parole officer. 4. We know he doesn’t want to lose time with his sister. 5. We know he was in prison taking the fall for his brother, therefore, we can deduce that he would do anything for his family. Please stop repeating these simple facts. Helen Hardt writes the same details over and over and over, from the aforementioned details to the descriptions of the siblings’ houses on the family’s ranch. I don’t care about what the server at the Italian restaurant is wearing—or anyone else, for that matter. This book is so miserably boring and repetitive. Drive to hospital, have sex in confined space, cue rejection, then reconciliation, repeat. Seven minutes into chapter 25, Falcon tells Savannah, “I changed my mind, Savanna. It’s over. Done. I don’t wanna hear from you again.” He goes on to say that he’s requesting a new officer. Literally less than 20 minutes later he sounds as if he’s telling us something we didn’t just hear, and tells us verbatim what he said to Savanna during that call we just heard. If Helen Hardt could employ the literary technique of internal allusion rather than 𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘺 & 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦, that would be spectacular. This happened continually—we were constantly reminded of every single detail and action 𝘢𝘥 𝘯𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘮. If we stripped away all the repeated actions, dialogue, unnecessary wardrobe descriptions, and aesthetics details, this book would be only 1 hour long. The narrative timeline is difficult to keep up with because few real day-to-day activities actually occur. How in the ever-loving freak is this a 5 star story? What’s up with Savanna’s childish non-friendship with Ashley? (‼️Spoiler‼️) When Savanna shows up at the hospital to find out Ashley died of a stroke and the nurse says, “…these things happen. There’s just no predicting them sometimes…” seriously? That’s the best Hardt has for us? “…Ms. Hunt had suffered a huge trauma to all of her systems.” What was she, a desktop? 𝚆𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐! 𝙲𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚕 𝙴𝚛𝚛𝚘𝚛! 𝙰𝙻𝙻 𝚂𝚈𝚂𝚃𝙴𝙼𝚂 𝙵𝙰𝙸𝙻𝚄𝚁𝙴! The phrases are just so goofy.
As far as narration, I really enjoy Troy Duran, but Angelina Rocco has an odd, unnatural cadence when reading descriptive sections, and her dialogue is unnatural at times, too. While she isn’t the worst I’ve heard, she isn’t the greatest either.

I LOVE Helen Hardt but this book was… annoying. I read the craving series and LOVED those. This one was repetitive. She repeats “falcon Bellamy”, savannah gallows, “but we weren’t close”, “but I’m his parole officer and he’s an ex con” “I’m breaching my ethics” so many times. The story overall wasn’t that great either but the spicy scenes were good.
