Love the book, not thrilled with the narration...

Awesome fun story -read it, don't listen

Who was your favorite character and why?

I LOVE Garrett and Hannah apart and even more together -they both have quick minds and are genuine in everything they do.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Lorelei Avalon?

Alternated between a male and female narrator for Hannah and Garrett's chapters. Maybe Madeline Maby and Zachary Webber...

LOVE the book! This is one of the few books I have re-read only a few months after initially reading -the dialog between the characters and the texts back and forth made me laugh out loud while reading. I was really excited to see it was coming out as an audiobook so I could listen to the story during my crazy daily commute.

The narrated version is not at all what I expected -Ms. Avalon has a very deep and nasal-toned voice and does not fit for a 20 year-old woman OR a 20 year-old man (she is playing both characters -even though the books chapters are split between the male and female POV); her intonation is off and does not do the story justice. I found myself annoyed when really common phrases were narrated in a way that stressed words in an oddly -I have no idea how old Ms. Avalon is, but based on the narration, I am guessing she is significantly older than the characters and has never uttered similar dialogue in her everyday life.

I'm glad I only paid $1.99 to add the audio version, because I am really disappointed with the result and don't think I'll be making past the first couple of hours :-(

I really enjoyed this book! It was so refreshing to listen to a New Adult book without the immature drama. This book had hockey players, great friendships, a great love story which wasn't an insta-love woohoo and was pretty sexy too. I really like both main characters, they were both strong because of their past and ready to move past that all. They really were a great match for each other and brought out the nest in each other. I'm excited to listen to the rest of the series now!

The narration did seem a little to old for these 20 year old's but she still did a good job.

Loved Hannah and Garrett!

Loved that Hannah was the one girl not impressed by Garrett and she wasn't a blip on his radar until he needed tutoring. She rebuffs Garrett until he makes her a deal she can't resist: he'll help her catch the guy she's really lusting after if she helps him with his grade. Of course, things don't go as planned, especially when Garrett starts falling for Hannah pretty much after their first conversation.

The audio version was okay, and got me started, but I think I prefer just traditionally reading to listening to this one. Still, I downloaded the second book with audio, too.

Exactly what I want out of a book!

I love the narrators. I have came across some that sound stiff and uptight. These two brought the characters alive. And the dialog, so natural. I'm a forever fan now!

voice narration

i disliked the voice of Hannah, it didnt seem to suit her character, given the books characteristics. Made it hard to get passed some chapters given her voice. Garrets voice was accurately what i expected, and seemed to suit his books characteristics

Great book skip the audio

The story itself is fantastic however the female narrator’s voice does not suit Hannah at all. I found her voice to be too smoker like to fit a college student. While I believe Lorelei is a fantastic narrator, she does not fit Hannah well. Garret’s narrator was fantastic a little stiff but overall exactly how I thought he would sound.

Good narration, good story!

I loved Hannah and Garret, and the story was engaging enough, except that being the age that I am, the book was a little too graphic in language for me. Nothing against the author and the narrators, they all did a good job! I’m sure for the YA genre, it was a perfect read!

Excellent narration! Both male and Female POV did great and was very enjoyable to listen to. The storyline was good; I feel like it's one I've read many times but it did have its own flare to make it enough of it's own. I really don't know how anyone could walk in on someone naked and intimate with someone else and then end up attracted to them still. That's just icky. If I had seen anyone in that position I'd write them off as someone I'd never be interested in, other than friendship. Total turnoff. It also gets old that women in books never make the guys work very hard for anything. They forgive too easily and give in too soon. The males never hardly seem to suffer or even have to be remorseful for screwing up because one flash of a dimple or one time of the guy kissing them and they forget their indiscretions and lap up the affection. I hope females in real life are not that easy. That said, the book was good and most the characters were likeable. There really wasn't a mean girl which was kind of refreshing actually. I'd recommend this book for sure. I wish we could have had a glimpse into Hannah and Garretts future a bit more. I seen there may be a future book that may give us a glimpse. I will probably read the next in the series but maybe not right away.

A super cute love story

I feel like with this book I enjoyed the male narrator more. I think of female’s narration for the woman wasn’t different enough from the main character. Hannah. The story itself was great. I think there should be a trigger warning for this book, this book includes talk about rape and domestic assault. So if that triggers you, maybe this is in the book for you. Because of these triggers I like the way the spice was handled. Love the tutoring storyline and twists that came up in the story. This book shows if you find the right person you can open up and share your life. #friendstolovers

Inconsistent Narration Speed

Only recently found Elle Kennedy and have been binge reading some of her stories. I liked this one so much that after borrowing it from the library I came here to get the audiobook. I'm picky about narrators, and both narrators are fine but the female narration is so slow I have to speed up her chapters. The male narrator is great and I return the playback speed to 1.00x for his parts.
