I read this book a while ago but did not get the audio because of the narration. I'll be honest the female chapters are so hard to get through. She sounds monotone and it's almost depressing listening to her chapters. Also she does not have a youthful voice and therefore sounds too old for the college characters. The addition of the male narrator helped the book immensely and luckily after the second book the female narrator is different.

As for the story it's funny, sweet and also sad at times. Both main characters have secrets from their past that still have an effect on them in the present. G is so swoon worthy and just wait until you make it to the locker room scene. I fell in love with him all over again. Hannah is driven and someone you'd want to be friends with.

Right Book. Wrong Narrator.

I loved this story - it ranks up there with my favorite new adult romances. Unfortunately, the talented narrator (I've liked her in other books) is not right for this book. It really detracted from the enjoyment of the audiobook. Other than that though, it really is a sweet love story. I just recommend you read the book rather than listen.

Amazing book so start off a series!

I wanted to write a review on this book since a lot of people were complaining about the narrorator and I wanted to give my opinion. First, I almost didn't get this book because of the reviews, but decided to go for it anyway and I'm so glad I did. The narrorators voice took me a few chapters to get used to because she starts out sounding older and more valley girlish than you'd image Hannah to be, but after the first couple chapters I realized she's actually an amazing narrorator and the weirdness goes away. She's really entertaining and brings the characters to life. She delivers all the funny lines perfectly and has a lot of emotion while she reads. So I really think this is a great 5 star love story with 5 star narration :) now on to the next in the series!

I loved the banter between these 2 characters! I had a smile on my face the entire time I listened to this book.

I am not even half way done yet, but the female narrator makes it hard to finish. Love the story and the male narrator.

I haven't even finished the book but geese the women telling the story sounds like a Kardashian high. she has one of those low flat lazy voices that makes all the sentences sound like run on centences no beginning and no END! The guys narration is good though. keeps the story going.

Love love love this series

The story is so great, it’s on my re-listen list now. I’ve bought the other books in this series and can’t wait to listen to them.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and great dialogues
The author writes in a way that draws me in to the story and I feel like a part of it.
Characters are described realistic and made familiar very quickly.

Narrator:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings. Narrator makes a good job with the male voice.

Great story!💜

This book was really good. There were moments that made me angry but more often it made me smile. Arrogant jock meets sarcastic music major. Great chemistry & fun.
The narration was really good, great narration team well suited for this book.
While this book has an HEA, I was left a little disappointed regarding a few side stories that I was expecting more from.
All in all I did enjoy this book and looking forward to book 2.
I recommend this book.

Loving this series

I have not read/listened to any of Elle Kennedy’s solo books (love the ones co-written with Sarina Bowen) and I didn’t know what to expect. This series starts with an enemies-to friends-to lovers story and I adore it! These 4 books are centered around a college hockey team and the girls they fall in love with. There are definitely issues that both Garret and Hannah have from their pasts but I really appreciate that this story is not super angsty or overly dramatic. This book took me back to my college days only better. Christian Fox and Lorelei Avalon were fantastic and have me reaching for the next in the series right now.
