Publisher's summary

Books 20-22 in the USA Today best-selling dead cold series from two million best-selling author Blake Banner

Books Included:

  • Mustang Sally (Book 20)
  • A Christmas Killing (Book 21)
  • Mommy's Little Killer (Book 22)

October, 2010, Sally Jones had been stabbed in the heart in her apartment on Commonwealth Avenue, in the Bronx. Her coat was on the back of her chair. Her shoes were beside her bed, her clothes were neatly folded, and she was dead under the sheets.

The killer had removed Sally’s hands and feet and departed, leaving no trace—except the dismembered body.

October, 2019, as the national media focuses on the 43rd’s unbroken record in cold cases, Detective John Stone, head the unit, decides to tackle the case.

But he and Dehan are soon to discover that this is a case like no other: Who were the visitors who came to see her before her death? What was their connection with the shadowy Sacred Brotherhood of Christ? And did her brother, Captain Ewan Jones, seek to help her—or murder her? It soon begins to look like this is indeed the case they will never crack.

And what, Dehan wants to know, happened to the Mustang?

Good raw bone detective stories

I really enjoyed this entire book series. I can't wait for books 23-25 to be available on Audible.

Enjoyed

This series just gets better with reading. The only criticism I have is the author keeps the main character a little too cutsie. She is a grown woman, but overall did like the series and glad I kept reading them.

Another great plunge into cold case murders

I can't get enough of listening to the Cold Case files. Books by Blake Banner. They keep me coming back over and over again. For stories that are somewhat similar because they are all cold cases and murders but also very much different because of all the with and turns that come along the way with the stories. I especially like the way the narrator makes all of the voices and the one of the main character. Detective Stone and how he always comes up with funny anecdotes of ways to the scribe things that are going on at various points in the stories. Those are almost just as fun. Or. As interesting as the story themselves.

I absolutely love Stone and Mrs Stone

A little rant before I give a very good review 😂….. are we ever going to get the Vince story because I’ve been hoping it’s coming each time I opened a new book 🙄. What happened to the money, who done it and is it a solvable case? Come on the suspense is killing me 😩. Now the review 😂🤭

I’ve binged on this series possibly 4/5 times in a row from book 1 to 22. Mr Adam Grupper has really breathed life into the characters, his ability to change his voice to suit different characters is unmatched and I can listen to him all day even if the stories were boring, that’s how good he is but in this instance the author is brilliant and they are perfectly matched.

I’m not so good with words 😂 I’ve avoided leaving word reviews but just give stars reviews only, the reason why I’m even typing is because of the Vince case. Mr Banner you are a skilled and talented writer and I love your work.
