Darkly Disturbing

Sharon Bolton returns with a Lacey Flint story worthy of the series. Ms. Bolton tips her hat at the main baddie early in the game but like a master chess player, continues to shuffle the other players on the board around to distract and draw your attention away from said baddie and to shine light on the fact that they are not in this alone. Disturbingly highlighting the incel community and their grievances and anger toward women kept the tale uncomfortable yet riveting for me from beginning to end. And oh what an end.

Lisa Coleman's narration was top notch.

Excellent suspense thriller

Really enjoyed this audiobook. This is the first I have listened to in the series, and while I will go back and listen to the others, I don’t think i missed anything by reading this as a “stand atone.” Excellent and timely plot with well developed characters and lots of heart. Super suspenseful from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Topical frightening

I love these characters. I cannot wait for the next installment I hope there is one. This series continues to be fantastic. I was on vacation in Europe and was able to get earlier books not available in the US. The narrator is great. Highly Recommend
