Publisher's summary

A devastated school. A collapsing planet. All eyes on Drew.

After teleporting his students all over the world in a rather dramatic attempt to stave off the inevitable apocalypse, Teach is busy. Instead of sipping and relaxing, he now has to slaughter the most powerful of beasts while running around and saving civilization as a whole. Re-Haan, his dragon mistress, isn’t helping either. She just waves him goodbye as he is swallowed by a massive sandworm.

When he finds an object that should be impossible, a hyper-dense projectile just like one that nearly bisected and killed him while he was breaking through, Drew sets out, determined to get to the root of this mystery.

This fresh start isn’t working out the way he hoped, and all the death threats his students are sending him aren’t helping. Teach might just have to face his past for real in order to survive this one.

Paid reviews ruined everything

I HATE PAID REVIEWS THIS BOOK IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY IT'S BAD

Books 1-3 weren't great or really that good but they had something but this is CRAP

Boring Filler

Just bad! First two books were awesome. This book was just boring filler; nothing happens and the story goes nowhere. Officially done with the series. Pavi Proczko did a good job though.

oh it just keeps getting better

I think Teach is starting to wear off on me.
can't wait for the next book to come out it's been a pretty good read so far. the fight scenes are well-written and keeping track of all the characters is rather entertaining. I can't wait to find out what happens with the dragon and Doard and without ruining the book those two women just sounds scary.

aimless story

This is a progression fantasy with no progression.
Just a ton of random pointless events.

Short but Sweet

This book, while disappointingly short, continues the chaotic and utterly random mess that Andries Louws calls a plot, with the myriad of characters each getting at least some attention, and Teach working towards un-breaking the world.

Fun times all around, although I'm honestly not sure why these books are a series and not a single massive book. Ah well.

Disappointing

All that brain power between teach and ket, yet they’re practically retards. What’s the point of being able to think a billion times faster then most people if in the end they’re gonna make the dumbest decisions. All that strength yet they let people walk ove them and treat them like garbage.. first book was good. Now it’s going downhill.

Disappointed

Loved all the other books and finished this one hopping it would get better, but as it went on and on nothing really happened throughout the whole Damm book. I don't need multiple views of the same situation over and over again I know everyone needs to get paid with a not so great installment but Jesus we could have moved forward a little bit more. I am still going to buy the next book but if it's like this it will be the last.

an improvement over book 3 at least

book 3 was a huge let down for me and while I did find this book more interesting, it still manages to feel directionless, despite that main character having several defined goals.

Best author ever <3

Andries Louws books are always great. Pavi Proczko is also an amazing narrator, the different voices are distinct and overall great. If you haven't already listen to Andries other series Skeleton in Space, its great :D

also "Mitchell" you know everybody has different tastes...

The Dao of Magic is funny and mentally engaging!

Andries Louws's The Dao of Magic keeps getting better in numerous ways. The overall plot is highly engaging without losing coherence. The worldbuilding is truly phenomenal and is continuously growing in complexity without one losing interest. Instead it is becoming more engaging and one can't help but think of ways in which it might progress in the future. The Mana and Chi based systems of power are well thought out. I cannot help but daydream of the ways I would go about cultivating my Dao, and the applications I would like to come up with.

Although Mana looks like it's falling to the wayside as the series progresses. I can't help but think that Drew and his new sect might think of ways to utilize the conversion of Mana into Chi and possibly Chi into Mana. If he was able to convert heavily aspected Chi into Mana and then change it back to non-aspected Chi, it might allow him to progress incredibly fast should he ever return to the cultivation world.

Looking forward to the next Audiobook! Cannot wait to see what new applications Drew comes up with!

master peace. can't wait for more

a bit shorter then the others but that's literally the only thing to complain about. I love both the writing style and the narration. after listening to all 4 books In a row my inner voice is in the same style and voice as teach's inner monologue.
