fantastic

the story was well done and the narrator made the story all the more interesting, assuming the roles of each character.

Meh...

It was OK, not very good. The writing was good (i.e. the dialogue, vocabulary, etc. ), but the story was very blah. There was a moment that I thought I had skipped some part, since the "victim" just reappeared in the scene with apparently no help from Sherlock. But then we are told he had helped (really? Why weren't we there?).

An outstanding pair

The story is impressing for the characters are all "in character" as coming out from a Conan Doyle book and a Bram Stoker 's .
The duo Dracula-Holmes came out in a elegant cocktail righter than a grotesque parody , and the risk of the latter outcome is always highly probable when these two titans of such a different literature are moving in the same pages of even the same book!!!!!!!
congratulations mr. Klaver
I don't have good enough words to adore the OUTSTANDING performance of the reader : he is the finishing touch of velvet conveying texture and style to this fine piece of..... Hot Couture!!!!

Terrible

This started out great, and I was very happy I had bought it. The reader is stellar, and both Holmes and Watson are voiced to perfection. The introduction of Dracula was appropriately creepy and ominous. Then, all of a sudden (SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT!!!) we have Mary (the wife of Dr. Watson) as a vampire, trying to turn Watson into a vampire, Watson wandering around the backstreets of London half vampire, grabbing dogs to feed his blood lust and slurping up blood off the charnel house floor. Really, I am NOT making this up, this is where this book suddenly took me. At that point I stopped listening and am returning the book. It's too bad, because the reader is excellent, but I was looking for authentic Holmes atmosphere, not some stupid schlock shocker comic book thing, written only to nauseate. Yuk.
