Compelling Enough to Lose Sleep

I started this book at night. Almost quit while the boys’ characters were being developed. But as adults, the multiple themes tied me up during my beach walks and beyond. Well worth it.

GREAT!

Just like Grisham’s older books. Court, killing, family, friends, gangsters and justice. Beck is a great narrator. Spend the credit, if you like Grisham you will like this book.

That characters are outstanding and well developed. The history and culture without flaw. Listen to this book, you'll be highly entertained.

riveting

I do like Grisham's ability to tell a story. I listened to this one over two days and after living in Mississippi for a few years in my younger days I was able to envision the coast as it might have been. Nice to hear the correct pronunciation of Biloxi.

Different than the usual Grisham book

This one isn’t the usual legal thriller. There’s not a lot of “thrill” in it, but I found it to be an engaging story with interesting characters. Not my favorite but not a stinker, either.

John Grisham greatness as expected

Fantastic book as expected I only wish there was more! The depth in which JG develops his characters and stories is amazing and 2nd to none!

Great story!

I did enjoy this book, it made you feel that you understood a certain pocket of the world, a people and a time.
I guess I’m the kind of reader who wants more than hour after hour of a narrative voice. I want interaction between the characters, not just to hear a storyteller.
But it was nevertheless enjoyable!

I've read most of the author's books this is his best ever. Great storytelling!
