Keep them coming

Very few audiobooks of this genre are on audible so this was a refreshing change in pace compared to the litany of litrpg audiobooks being pumped out. Strongly recommend if you enjoy wuxia/xianxia novels.

The Best Drinking Game to ever….change!

Seriously, everyone is right because the “but then there was a change” is used so much the author has to be playing a game with us. It’s honestly kinda fun(ny). So break out the booze and enjoy because the story is still pretty solid and enjoyable. I feel like it’s there to keep the story lighthearted and regulatory. I’m in for the haul at this point unless something super ridiculous throws me off. Also, this was the first book that really showed the scale of the world at large and road to growth Feng Yu needs to scale going forward. I hope he makes some significant growth in the next book because he and his crew are severely underpowered for what they face. So I’m excited for the next book and all it’s “changes”.

Change

I am pretty sure that I have heard that word change more times in this book than I have heard in the last 30 years. It is over used a lot! The book jumps around to different stories but they dont connect them to the main character throughout the book. They are mainly the secondary characters from the first book. Now everyone is becoming some sort of entity...and then there was a change.... but before it could happen there was another change....he started his attack then everything changed...

Suddenly, It changed.

The wordplay isn't the best but it's not too bad half the time. the biggest problem is the over use of the word Changed when it comes to certain events. But other than the start of what seems to be a harem and the overuse of the word Changed. it's ight so far

But then there was a change

There's an awful lot of changes in this book. It seems like every 10 min I hear but then something changed or but then there was a change. Good book though.

YES!

Dude keep em coming. Love the love interest build with a possible mini harem in the future.

A good follow-up

There is so much going on in the story. The supporting characters seem to shadow out our MC. Still was worth the credit despite all the change.

Please don’t say something changed again.

I read the first two books and was excited to see the third, however I hope the author reads this. I enjoyed the story but there were a few big issues that just took away from enjoying it fully.

First, Please god use some other form of explanation for a transition other than saying something changed constantly. I swear it took up half the sentences in the book (exaggeration but needed).

Second, the spoken sound effects are not needed and not done well. Just describe them like, he chucked, or he laughed, instead of ggg or kkk, it’s like nails on a chalkboard. Finally, pleassssse for the love of god, focus on your actual main character for at least the majority of the book. Some back story is needed sometimes, but this book spends so much time following other random insignificant characters that the story barely progresses at all. I feel cheated of the great story I was expecting, and instead it’s a book of background filler. Very disappointing.

Well take that as you will. I hope there is a book four and that the story actually moves forward in that one.

Somewhat scattered

The story itself is not bad a bit scattered jumping from one point of view to another.

The narrator on the other hand is halfway decent but has no clue how to do onomatopoeia, every time the character laughs or a sound effect it’s cringe worthy.
