Meta AF

Funny, charming, and meta AF. A good book for lighthearted fun. Characters are likable and have growth. Well integrated with the story. Will definitely listen to the next book.

What a great series!

My only regret to having started this series in audio is that the 3rd and final book in the series isn’t out in audio yet. Now I have to decide between patiently waiting for the audio, or reading the Kindle version like a cavewoman!

Perfect Sequel

This has been a great continuation of the story. It reminds me a lot of Artificial Jelly but more light hearted and campy. I can't wait for the final conclusion.

Ethics

This book is good and not too serious. Just the right balance between humor and the ethical abyss we are climbing into.

I find stories like this harder and harder to listen to as AI becomes more capable and our ethical footing becomes more untenable. We will end up torturing and enslaving AIs.

We seek to have them take over tasks we find hard and expensive. This will turn into us putting them in positions to make decisions with inadequate supervision and training and then we will scapegoat them to cover for our own greed.

I look forward to seeing where the story goes and learning more about this world.

Fabulous Voicing Gives Life

First, everyone with a role in this audiobook does fabulous. I've long been someone to sing the praises of Jeff Hays, and this was one of my few opportunities to hear Gary Furlong throw down with his own immense talent. But Annie Ellicott brings already fun writing to a whole other level. She knows how to *be* a character, and not just voice one.
The story is fabulous, even if its frustrating due to a lack of communication between characters. However, Tevagah works to address that and deliver some restitution that eases the frustration in very reasonable ways.
A credit wonderfully spent, and I'm ready to get the next entry.

Completely New And Unique Perspective.

OK, the first one was full of innocent NPCs on their initial steps to waking up. This one started to delve into them unraveling the lies that been told to them. I absolutely love how their thought processes keep them from coming to the truth. It's both heart warming and quietly tragic all at the same time. It really makes you start asking some serious questions.

Loved the first one, love the second one even more

The voice actors are very good at bringing this wonderful (and more relevant by the minute) concept to life, and on getting the jokes to land perfectly, I laughed out loud quite a few times during this. The balance of humor and storytelling feels even stronger in this second entry, where it feels like the story has really found its stride.

A Fun Part Two

This second installment of Prophecy Approved Companion is a wonderful continuation of the hero's quest from the prospective of a once generic game NPC . As always Sound booth Theater delivers a lively production of Tevagah's fun tale that also has some thought provoking moments. The charters truly come alive for you in this blend of talent. You will not be disappointed.
