Wow!

I loved “The Butcher and The Wren” but THIS!?!? Absolutely tops book 1. Alaina, holy cow, your writing is beautiful and how you tell the story is incredible. I could not stop listening to this book! Now I need the hard copies.

Twists & turns

I loved book one so I was very excited for book two. I liked the location changes, new characters and new details that connected back to book one. The ending got me but looking forward to book 3!

Just as good as the first….

This book was just as nail biting, WTFing and amazing as The Butcher and the Wren. I will be on pins and needles to see what comes next.

Twisty and shocking! Read it!!

Alaina really brought it! Fantastic plot, well thought out characters with enough background to make you intrigued, but not so much that you are bored. It will draw you in to the nightmare that it is, definitely not one for the kiddos, hell maybe even for Adults if you are grown nightmares or squeamish. 😊 Her first book was amazing and this one was worthy, and she should be very proud of what she has created!

good character development in the second book of the series

I found the story continued to intrigue me. The final chapters held surprises, one of which I truly didn't expect.
