Nothing special

Predictable - I’ve read teen thrillers that keep me hooked but this one did not sadly.

Great story, The end surprised me

Honestly thought I saw the twist coming but it was so much more than I anticipated, loved how they did that this author continues to impress me, Can’t wait for their next book.

Interesting and shocking

This story was kinda crazy! You are rooting for the protagonist and then boom, twists and turns. I wish there was more cat and mouse running through the forest, the punch line came a bit too quick, could have been dragged out longer. but overall it was a captivating story.

Performance is a bit much at times.

I really enjoyed this book- classic “I Know What You Did Last Summer” archetype. It was just intriguing enough for me to listen to while working without being too distracting. The only gripe I had was the narrators over enunciation of certain consonants at the ends of words or phrases. The “She grabbed my shir-TUH” and “get off the boa-TUH” was very distracting and annoying frankly. There was also a bit more vocal fry than I’d like, but I understand it’s part of the main characters personality type. Not the most enthralling book I’ve ever read/heard but a nice listen for a casual thriller enjoyer. Not overly disturbing or graphic, just some dramatized high school shenanigans with darker implications.

I was about to gave up and then…. Everything changed and I couldn’t stop listening! Amazing!
