Snatched up by the story

How horrible can someone be to another. Taking advantage of someone over and over there is no forgiveness for him.

Wow this story went nowhere

I hate to say it but I really wanted a murder to happen just so I could stay interested. I get that addiction is a never ending battle but I legitimately lost interest by the second relapse. BOR-RING

No bodysnatching here; boring wife's ramblings

First, I'd like to say I almost never rate books this low. But that's because I rarely listen to books that are this bad. First, let's get the true crime stuff out of the way: there is no explanation of the "body snatching" (really just medical malpractice), and the crimes committed by this dude are mostly adultery and drug charges. I don't know if his wife didn't include the "salacious" tissue details because of legal reasons or what, but...yeah, nothing juicy.

Second, the wife herself is of a class that is...beyond annoying. She gets off on the fact that she's a "tough Brooklyn gal," when really she just made her kids suffer through years of having a shady drug addict for a dad. The narrator's voice wavers between a Brooklyn drawl and normal speech, but the real bummer here is the writing. This author (who had HELP writing this book? This was the EDITED version?) couldn't write her way out of a paper bag. And the kicker: she's more grating than the popular girl whom you hated in high school. Nothing is her fault. She's an angel. She is the blameless fighter and victim. Driving an Escalade on her doctor husband's money.

There is nothing redeeming to this book, on a true crime level, on a story level, or...any level. Please, please, let this garbage book fade into obscurity by not wasting a credit or money on it. This chick is a money-grubbing, self-adoring stereotype of the New York cougar, and deserves no attention.
