Treehouses twinkle under a blanket of stars, the sea sparkles through the leaves and true love is in the air. From the best-selling author of Sunlight over Crystal Sands comes this gorgeously romantic tale.

Indigo Bloom is on her way to beautiful Wishing Wood with some very big news. Two months ago, she shared an incredible night with the most amazing man. She didn’t think she’d ever see River Brookfield again, but she never imagined she’d be showing up out of the blue to tell him she’s pregnant with his child.

Indigo’s heart longs for a fairy-tale ending. There’s just one problem: River doesn’t remember who Indigo is....

Crushed that a night that meant so much to her was so forgettable for him, Indigo resolves to keep her identity and her pregnancy secret until she gets to know the real River. But as they spend more time together, it’s clear that the incredible connection they shared that first night is stronger than ever and that River might remember more than Indigo first thought.

The closer they get, Indigo’s secret becomes harder to share. Can Indigo find the courage to tell River the truth? And if she does, will she get the fairy-tale ending she’s been dreaming of?

Make all your dreams come true this summer with this feel-good love story that will sweep you off your feet. It’s the perfect listen for fans of Jill Mansell, Sarah Morgan and Sue Moorcroft.

Lovely story, I really enjoyed how the author crossed between fairytale and reality! Who wouldn’t want to live in a tree house in a cute little village with a bear of a
Man? 😊 but, I also enjoyed how she touched on so many real life issues that anyone can struggle with; rejection, abandonment, childhood trauma, low self esteem, doubt, homelessness, unemployment.

Unexpected!

This is the perfect book to get you out of a funk. It's got all the serotonin.

Just what I needed.

First, it was way too long. It had good bones for a fun short story but instead it was dragged out. Each chapter was repetitive of the previous information previously given, thought or felt. I tried to like it but I found it terribly frustrating and annoying. Nothing made sense, especially the insanely intrusive conversations and the immaturity of the characters. Real people do not act or speak this way on a whole. Maybe one person once in awhile but not the entirety of the assemble. Perhaps this was due to the lack of clear development of the characters. They were all just ...there...floating along any which way. The scenes with the little girl were cute at first but eventually made me want to scream, Zero discipline and zero boundaries in EVERY encounter. It all became ridiculous! The FMC is such a flake .The MMC was wishy washy...extreme either in full rejection or full acceptance which ever the way his wind blew. In fact, everything was too much... too much super sweetness, too unrealistic, too much hippiechic, like every single character being named weird off the wall names, River, Bear & Heath happen to hook up with Meadow and Indigo... sheesh even a visiting dog was Moonbeam as though every guest at the hotel would have to be bohemian. Too much wacky that never hit humorous, too little storyline, too many farcical events like building a house in under 2 months from a sketch on a napkin and £56 hamburgers 🙄.
However, it was the narration pushed me over the edge. Her voice is grating. I am a bit worry the poor narration influenced my opinion more harshly. I may have, perhaps, enjoyed it more if it was a different narrator... ? But we will never know.

Wasn't for me

It's PERFECT if you're in junior high. 👍 In all fairness, I cannot lower the Performance rating because of the narrator's need to read an author's lackluster book.

I made it 31 minutes and 47 seconds
