Publisher's Summary

I never saw it coming...the bones...the magic...the betrayal.

It’s no longer a question of who I can trust - the answer is no one. Now, it’s about survival.

I’m in the heart of the Order, trying to solve a series of mysterious disappearances, while doing everything that I can not to become bait.

Enemies are circling, and they can’t seem to decide if they see me as a pawn or as a threat. Oh, and there’s that little issue of being tethered to Rogan, who I now want to kill.

It’s time to figure out just what I’m capable of though. Because fool me once...shame on you. But fool me twice...and I will crush your bones to dust.

My name is Lennox Osseous, and I’m about to unleash the wrath of the Bone Witch.

You want range? Listen to Amy Hall.

I am obsessed with Amy Hall’s performance in The Osseous Chronicles. Her character differentiation shines through every word and you are ensorcelled -see what I did there ;) - by her voice when she is reading this story.

loved it

OKAY. WOW.

I blasted through that in one sitting it was so good. This book was way better than the first. It made me laugh, cry and cringe. I absolutely loved it. And the ending... Ohhh baby, was that emotional. I don't even know what to say. Rogan by the end was pulling my heartstrings and the spice gets somewhat hotter but ultimately the slow burn is real. And the massive 🐓 block the author throws our way is just plain rude but so good. Read this series, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing!

Loved the first one, but this one was amazing! I love the descriptive dialect the author uses and wow what a sense of humor! The narrator does a fabulous job of inserting emotion exactly where it’s needed. It only took me a couple days to listen to the whole book, I was hooked from the beginning!

Good story but language could be better

Engaging story, and I’ll look forward to finding out what happens next. The reader also does a great job bringing the protagonist to life. The writing occasionally has some subject-verb agreement problems that made me cringe, though, and the reader occasionally mispronounces some words (“misshapen” was “miss-happen,” for example). Maybe book wasn’t copyedited/proofed well and the director of the performance just missed that kind of thing? I feel snotty criticizing—I’ve certainly written no books myself! If you can ignore the handful of errors, you’ll probably enjoy the tale otherwise. (Don’t read, though, if you’re not down with a pretty crass leading lady. I’m no prude, but I think the author took it a bit too far. I don’t know what the author intended, but the less-than-stellar English and the not infrequent references to riding anatomy made the heroine a little less likable, imo.)

Enjoyable Tale

It is an interesting story well spun. The right amount of humor and magic which make stories come to life.

Plot is good

The plot is good but spends way to much time on certain spots - endless chapter on the same thing and doesn’t move forward

As amazing as reading it written

Lennox has so much depth and feelings and practicality to her. The last third of the book is a gut wrench but definitely perfect.

I couldn’t stop listening!

This book series! Wow… I just couldn’t stop listening. I think I finished all 3 in a few days.
The narrator did an amazing job at bringing these stories to life and doing them justice.
So, if you’re someone like me who struggles to get into books, read this series! The fantasy, action, and underlying burning romance will completely draw you into the characters world.

Flawless drama

For some reason this story seemed to be super short. But is 8 hours and 27 minutes. The Bone Witch was fabulous. This story too. If the first one was fun and flawless, The Blood Witch is flawless drama. Usually I am not a big fan of drama, too easy to fall into the brainless and irritating zone there. And fun, silly, clever and hilarious gets left out. Am a big fan of that genre. However, Ivy Asher is a clever author, Our heroine avoids most drama induced pitfalls. It is like two times in those 8 to 9 hours she slips up, and falls into unwarranted arrogance. That is something like three lines in all this text, and can be easily forgiven. The rest of the time I was either too focused on the story to think anything, or wondering about how talented and clever the author really is. As before, Amy Hall´s narration is flawless too. Back to book three in series.
