Fun but hard to stay focused

I enjoyed the action but I didn’t enjoy the constant fighting between the characters nor time jumps.

Ally Carter wins again!

I’m a fan of all things Ally Carter! I devoured this book in a little over 24 hours. The twists & turns of the plot kept me guessing as to who would end up being the “bad guy”. 10/10 highly recommend!!

The storytelling and the chemistry!!

This was better than the first one (which I also loved). Alex and King’s story was so deep and powerful and I liked the jumping back and forth in time. I need a movie of this asap!!

Ally Carter is my new fav author!! The only thing I'm upset about is that I hit 'the end'. Story is like a puzzle, winding around, back and forth, until... voila...

Couldn't put it down, but perhaps a little heavier on the family drama that her other books.

Just finished this one. I liked the story, lots of twists, turns and feels. Ally Carter is a favorite and I've been waiting for this one to come out.

But for the first time there was a character whose tragedy is still killing me, even after the book is done. It's not a main character, so don't be dissuaded from reading thinking there's going to be this awful ending - that's not the case. Also, I got lost a few times with the jumping back and forth in time. But it was a well built story with a wide variety of characters and backstories that make the world of the book come alive.

Would recommend! And will probably read again.

I loved it!!! Excellent storage plot. Love the romance. And absolutely adore the espionage. Overall loved it!

Perfect Escapism

This is a really fun book. I enjoyed the backstory. It was very amusing and made me laugh a lot.

Great sequel (and best if read as sequel) but can be enjoyed as stand alone. Definitely recommend.

Clever plot, very likable characters. I enjoyed everything about the plot and characters and story…except…the narration was just OK and not great ! I couldn’t hear/understand a lot of the dialog of King’s character when voiced by Alex’s female voice narrator and it drove me crazy. There was so much clever dialog that I missed. I just could not hear most of what she/he said no matter how loud I turned up the volume.

Best enemies to lovers I’ve read

This one took a few chapters to get into, but then I was committed. The enemies to lovers is very well done, and I love that she included Zoe and Sawyer in this story.

I love the first book and this is just as good. I would recommend this series. I live all this author's books.
