Publisher's summary

Tormented by the knowledge that his father died thinking the worst of him, Colt Hall never meant to come home to Chance Creek. But with his brothers banding together to rebuild the family's old ranch, he's finding it hard to stay away. In accordance with the conditions for them to inherit the spread, Colt must soon marry. Too bad the only woman he wants is Heather Ward, the girl he walked away from years ago without saying good-bye.

Heather hid a secret for 12 long years, but when the Halls moved back to town it was only a matter of time before the truth came out. Now everyone but Colt knows he has a son. She'll get one chance to convince Colt to forgive her - and become the father Richard has always longed for. If she answers Colt's online ad for a temporary wife, will he fall in love with her before he learns the truth?

Colt knows it's crazy to try to find a wife through an Internet ad, and it's even crazier to fall for a stranger who wants far more than a temporary marriage, but Helena Warner reminds him so much of Heather, he begins to wonder if the two might be the same woman. Heather can't believe she's using a fake name to seduce the father of her own child, but is it possible Colt might know more about her true identity than he's letting on? Once all the lies and secrets are stripped bare, Colt and Heather must answer the ultimate question: Can a love interrupted ever be renewed?

Exhilarating

Where does The Airman's E-Mail-Order Bride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

By far one of the best books I have listened too. Not only is it an amazing story, but the reader emphasized on all characters, which made listening so much more exciting.

Such a roller coaster story. At times there was so much going on it was hard to keep straight. To have basically 3 families living in the one house, another there for everything except sleeping and a semi-permanent guest, that must be quite the place. No wonder they all are doing everything they can to keep it in the family. This is yhe story that cements it once and for all. Do they get it or do they move on? Read it to see.

even a better listen! great story still!

Where does The Airman's E-Mail-Order Bride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

catchy, will stick with me, nice voice to listen to. (had some loud places, but not sure if that was my media or the audios, not sure where to even report that, just an FYI)

Who was your favorite character and why?

Heather! Strong yet vulnerable, great mother, great woman, struggles but tries and tries to do what's right and is just real!

Which character – as performed by Anika Solveig – was your favorite?

Colt- she captured his personality, how he feels, how he expresses himself.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES! it was exciting! even after reading it and then listening to it, I wanted it all at once! ached through it, cried, laughed, and just kept going!

Any additional comments?

still wanted to smack Colt, even more so "hearing" how...flustered? he got with the situation...but loved it still! great ending! and I enjoyed listening to the words!

Such a great story made laugh and tear up as well.

A different take on a story. Modern too. Love how the H stood up to the Aunt at the end and went w his heart and how he recreated the Impala part too. The only bad thing is you could tell when they went back and re recorded or added parts it was louder and had a different tone. so if you listen w headphones be prepared for a sudden change in valume

Should be read in order

I enjoyed all 4 of the stories even though they became predictable. Sometimes I don’t want to have to think about keeping characters straight or listening for clues to a mystery. This series is perfect for those times.

All the swoony and sexy second chance goodness

I loved loved Heather and Colt’s email order bride second chance secret baby fake fiancée crazy inheritance rules romance.
It is filled with all the emotions, the connections and the big feelings. Colt, an airman attached to special forces units has decided to get out of the military after a prophetic dream and needs a wife in order to reclaim his family’s ranch. So he places a wife wanted ad. Heather loved Colt when they were teenagers and has a 13 year old son, Richard, to remember him by but Colt knows nothing about his son. So Heather answers his ad under an assumed name hoping to rekindle their romance but she’s not the only contender for the position. To get to their HEA, Heather and Colt have to deal with his meddlesome aunt, the new relationship between Colt and Richard, plus an extra fiancée or two. The twists and family drama story keeps you hooked in to the very end. Along the way, the story will give you all the feels - laughing, crying, swooning, cringing, teeth gritting, heart hurting, and cheering. I especially loved that Richard was a wonderful and integral addition to the story rather than a flimsy story prop. This beautifully written story includes sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, and all the heart squeezing love. I have loved this series and am sorry there aren’t more brothers to marry off.

Anika Solveig did a wonderful job narrating the story and breathing life into the characters with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

Loves this series.

Loved this book. All I could think of while hearing this story was the old quote "O what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive." Secrets here and lies there. But it does have a happy ending. Definitely a story to hear or read.

Colt and his brides

Colt Hall, youngest of the Hall brothers, is on his way home to Chance Creek. He is the last holdout in Aunt Heloise’s bizarre requirement that to regain the family ranch, all four brothers must marry within a year and at least one heir must be produced during that time, too, or the ranch will be sold to developers. Three brothers are married, there are babies on the way, but Colt must still marry. So, he finds a willing bride online, leaves the Air Force, and heads home – where he finds out that he has a teenage son, a love that still lives on (even through his guilt), and an extra bride! What a mess! Aunt Heloise is still pulling the puppet strings causing chaos, more guilt and stress.

Old relationships are examined and rebuilt, families are made, torn apart, and pieced back together again, and we get to visit with all of the brothers and their wives. The obstacle course is still important, and love and family are the order of the day. Cora Seton has provided us with another good read with complex relationships, laugh-out-loud situations, a few tears, and family. The love and relationships are believable and the emotions seem real. A wonderful book about the last brother. Even if you've never read any of the other books in this series, you will easily know who's who and become part of the world of the Hall family.

The narrator for this book, Anika Solveig, did a good job of keeping all of the characters straight and giving them each their own voice. She gave this story a fast pace that kept everything moving. I enjoyed reading the book, and I really enjoyed listening to it, too. Well worth it!
