Publisher's summary

In this delightful tale, an Eastern Prince arrives in England with some family jewels, which he’s having reset as a gift for his fiancée. However, the Prince also has a mistress; she asks to wear one particularly enchanting piece that features a huge ruby, and then promptly disappears with it.

Poirot discovers a connection with a house party at the home of Colonel and Mrs Lacey, and in order to pursue his investigation an invitation is procured for him to the Laceys’, ostensibly to enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas. With deft skill and the workings of his ‘little grey cells’, Poirot brings this case to a satisfying end. Starring John Moffat as Hercule Poirot, with Donald Sinden and Sian Phillips as Colonel and Mrs Lacey.

Joy to the (Agatha Christie) World!

I admit that I am a sucker for listening to Christmas stories - no matter how silly or sentimental - during December! This little ditty did not at all disappoint. The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding is new to me, and it's just perfect for a short, holiday diversion!

Hercule Poirot is at his most fussy and appealing in this country house tale. The story does not involve murder, and it isn't silly or sentimental, but it is as delicious as the title pudding - delivered by a wonderful cast.

A lovely little Christmas present!

Love it

I just love it so well by the excellent classic atmosphere.
However, the audio quality compare to CD is not so good.

Well done production

Agatha Christie very rarely disappoints me. Enjoyed this very much. Poriot has the enviable grey cells which get a work out again in this plot of intrigue.

Fluff

This story was a pleasant diversion. Not art, but it kept my attention and imagination

Enjoyable

I like this particular Hercule Poirot book. It is not one of my absolute favorites but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon. the plot had a few twist as do all of Christie's Poirot stories. you knew right from the beginning who the suspect was the ending was a little bit of a surprise.

Great Listen

This story really was amazing. I never caught on to who the murder was and the further into the story it got the more I enjoyed it and felt the intensity to it. Great performance and wonderful book.

Short but Sweet!

I enjoyed this book very much. It was just the right for washing all the Christmas dishes. Now I want to listen to more of her books!
