Poor narration

This was difficult for me to listen to. The narrator was at the level of a high school play, and she sounded short of breath at the end of her words. Painful to listen to. And the story seemed more like it was written long ago, so I checked the release date: 2024. Not believing it, I checked for the original publication date: 1979. Audible should mention that somewhere.
