Publisher's Summary

The disciples of the Machine God, the Cult Mechanicus are on the front line of the Quest for Knowledge. Tech-priests lead their forces of augmented warriors and battle-automata into battle with the Omnissiah's foes in defence of His secrets. Magos-Explorator Omnid Torquora orchestrates war against the Iron Warriors for control of a long-lost forge world. With skitarii legions and maniples of battle-servitors and robots at his command - not to mention the mighty god-machines of the Titan Legions - victory is within his grasp until treachery threatens to end his dreams of conquest.

Cant wait for the third!

epic story of mechanicum struggle in the face of the odds... little sad about what happened to Stroika Unit buuuuuttt he had an arc so did everyone actually everyone in here who didn't die had some solid character development. theres some truly side splitting moments in the dark horror of it all as the protagonist, being as socially inept as he can be just sort of states the truth and it's really great. good read recommend.

Better story than the first book, but...

Great performance by the narrator of a somewhat underwhelming storyline. Usually Warhammer 40k stories leave me hungry for more, but in this case I was just thankful that the story had ended and I could find something else better to listen to.

Very good Ad Mech sequel.

It was a good follow up to the first Ad Mech book. Good to see a smooth continuation.

Great narrator. Great book.

Great book that really shows off how the Adeptus Mechanicus thinks and acts. The narrator did a fantastic job with this book.

Exhilarating

A book of twists and turns which leaves you saying your own prayers to the machine God. Absolutely love the Adeptus Mechanicus now...

slooow start

well performed, but the story is painfully slow yet the book is actually quite short. a little concerned that this and skitarius were originally one book then burtchered into 2 books. everything happens at the end, which is a good ending but pacing seems off. Ok if you have lots of spare credits but there are a lot of better books out there

Another stunning WH40K book

This second novel in the Adeptus Mechanicus series is simply awesome. I loved listening to it and it gave me a lot of ideas as I run a WH40K roleplaying campaign.
