Good for a Tua book
As an Ork guy this book was pretty good. Great performance like normal. Story was good. It has your standard combat mixed in with so Tua politics. Not great but if your a Tua guy or has a passing interest then it’s not a bad listen and leaves you wanting to follow the bread crumbs of the next book.

Almost excellent! Not quite, but almost.
In my opinion, this book does for the Tau what Graham MacNiel’s “Uriel Ventris Saga” did for the Ultramarines: give some much-needed depth to a sometimes controversial faction, and put a fleshed-out character front and center as that faction’s representative. It can feel a bit slow at times, but the story as a whole is good, the narration is very good, and the climax is absolutely excellent. All in all, a solid 4/5!

Farsight Enclave lore.
If you're into the famous Tau commander farsight, this was a pretty great read. Even if you just want to learn more about Tau, it's great. The best parts to me had to deal with the Tau encountering warp entities for the first time. Solid Grimdark book

For the Tau’Va
Phillip Kelly penned a fun and interesting portrayal of my favorite character in the 41st Millennium. With great character writing and just a bit of Plot Armor I enjoyed the tale of Commander Farsight

As good as I hoped it would be
I have tried a couple of the Age of Sigmar writings and they’re terrible. So it was refreshing when this book was of the quality missing from the previous books I’ve tried. The story was engaging even if I was a little confused what some tools were. A lot of these books assume you know what all the little things are without explaining them to you.

An amazing 40k book divulging lore on an underappreciated xenos faction
Man, there are things that happen in this book that make you cheer for the hero and I call him that in the intense meaning of the word. Amazingly voice acted by, surprisingly, two narrators. They both add intrigue as to their purpose in the story through the strength of their performances! I really enjoyed this story and I immediately bought the sequel!

A good start, but ending seems forced
A good start and decent buildup for the theme of broken faith. Stories end seems a bit forced. But it does leave one with a sense of wanting a part 2.
