Hooked

Okay so I completely loved the story. I was hooked!
Loved how they both took the time apart to realize what was wrong in their relationship and tried to fix it.
Drew didn’t realize how lonely Ryan was feeling. He was always so busy with work trying to make partner that he wasn’t putting Ryan and their relationship first. When Ryan decides to leave Drew tries his best to win him back. Drew realizes things need to change and Ryan realizes that he needs to communicate his feelings more.
I loved reading/listening how they work things out the dates how they still have that connection and chemistry.

Second Chances

I enjoyed reading this debut novel previously and now I also enjoyed listening to the audiobook. Sion Hardd is a new to me narrator but I appreciated the performance.

2nd chance

Very interesting take on 2nd chance! I was invested, intrigued and ended up loving it! I AM SO EXCITED FOR PETE’s book. Also the narroration was 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Good second chance story!!!

I enjoyed this debut novel! I'm eager to read more in this series.

Although second chance is not my fave trope, this was a really lovely version of it. These boys needed to be together again - they are such a good match and I enjoyed getting to know them. I admit to some tears in the reading of this sweet book.

Audiobook update: Sion Hardd is a new-to-me narrator and it’s great having a fresh voice! This narrator did a nice job with both POV and I enjoyed his pleasant voice. The emotional moment were done well and the voices were fairly distinct.

Promising start to series

This is my first Elamy Pride and Sion Hardd story. I went into this one with little expectations since I didn't know the author or the narrator and they did me well. For a short story, there is a lot to it and I enjoyed every minute of it. Sion Hardd did a great job narrating. I though Pete was a little over the top, but I have a feeling that will play out in the next story. Which I am eagerly wanting to jump into.

This book was great, we have Drew a very successful lawyer who is working himself ragged trying to become partner.

His boyfriend Ryan is a tattoo artist who adores Drew, but feels neglected. Tbh this is a story about a couple who doesn’t communicate and just assumes the other knows what’s going on lol typical men.

There is an element of a person who is trying to sabotage them, but I think it’s not a huge factor.

These two idiots in love must learn to communicate! You will get groveling and lots of funny moments and super funny side characters. I love Pete and want his own book!

Loved it and all the marvel references. I cannot wait to read the other books!

Fighting for Each Other

A refreshing romance showing the work it takes to make a relationship last long-term. Low-angst but high-stakes, both characters grow over the course of the story and learn the importance of prioritizing their partner and communicating their needs. There is a fun cast of supporting characters and Avengers references galore. A quick but satisfying read/listen!

I hadn’t heard this narrator before but he did a great job with different voices and bringing the story to life.

Great Listen

This is a new to me, author and narrator, and I throughly enjoyed it. The story was good and interesting. It showed true relationship issues and the work it takes to make it work. The narration was good.

Second chances for the win

This story was cute, not going to lie. I did need to adjust to the new narrator and the way the story was told, but I loved it. It was funny and a little angsty for a second there. But mostly lighthearted fun and all the fluffy feels one gets when listening to second chance romances. And while this story may not have been long it did not feel rushed and was able to tackle both MCs issues and bring them back together. Can’t wait to start the next book honestly because the little preview at the end captured my attention.

Relationships take work

This is my first time reading Elamy Pride and I gotta say I need more of it!

Ryan and Drew were the perfect examples of how hard it is to make a relationship work. How sometimes unknowingly we take those we love for granted.

All of Drew’s focus was on making partner at his firm to have more money to take care of Ryan. Yet all Ryan wanted was more time with Drew.

Their perspectives were definitely crossed which caused them to almost lose each other in the process. Drew had to learn that Ryan was more important than his work and Ryan had to learn that he needed to speak up.

Loved that Drew was willing to win Ryan back no matter what. He put his focus where it mattered most.

Beautiful story with a very valuable life lesson. Work isn’t everything and never take for granted those you love.
