Exiled from her home, the beautiful dark elf Liriel Baenre wanders the surface world with her companion Fyodor. But even far from the dark haunts of Menzoberranzan, she is not safe from the vengeance of her archenemy. Even as she and her friend sail the dangerous seas of the Sword Coast, a drow priestess plots a terrible fate for them.

And in the depths of the earth, the spider queen Lolth weaves her own webs of terror and treachery.

Horrible narrator. I literally don’t even know if she can read in English, a 10 year old would do better

Pacing is a little weird

I love the Forgotten Realms setting so much I forced myself to listen to this second book in the series. A generally enjoyable plot, the best part of which involves weaving in much magic, but it was all I could do to suffer through another book narrated by Dara Rosenberg, who truly should not be in this business. She can't correctly pronounce many many very common English words, especially if they're above the vocabulary of a small child. Her timing and cadence leave one with the impression that this is the first time she ever attempted to read text aloud.

Good story, terrible performance

story is great if you are into the drow stories. not only that but it gives another drow life away from the underdark, makes you wonder where the story could go with "little raven"

story line is great.... the reader ...
