I'm already better

I'm already a better educator after reading this book. Great organization and the perfect balance of explanation with anecdotal experience. Excellent read. I can't wait to practice the 6 principles at work and in life!

Kim’s reading of this Audible book was conversational and pleasing. The practical examples of discussions, emails and notes were instructional as well as entertaining. I would recommend this book for anyone whose work involves emotionally charged conflicts between passionate people.

Kim does an excellent job in using real-life, relatable stories to teach others how to effectively communicate. This is not only impactful for educators, but anyone looking to understand and communicate with others in a more professional way. You will want to read it again and take notes! Thank you.

Wonderful, practical principles

Excellent content, I'd just like a summary at the end to recap everything. That would make the material easier to implement.

Inspiring

Kim definitely shared great information and strategies. I loved listening to her narrate her book as I listened to it on Audible while walking in the evening. (By the end of the book, I felt like I knew her as a person! She was genuine in her book and her narration).

I struggle finding the right way to say things and when speaking at times (I rather write my thoughts most of the time ) and I hope that I can start applying some of her advice. She is a very inspirational speaker!

Ended abruptly

It was good and had a lot of great suggestions but my district spends a lot of money on PDs where we focus on positive communication so I didn't think most of what she had to say was anything new. It was definitely worth listening to but I wouldn't consider it a must-read. The only thing that really threw me was the very end because it ended very abruptly. I'm pretty sure that something didn't get recorded at the end because there is no way that was the ending. However the Audible voice still came on as it does when you finish a book, so I know I didn't somehow skip a section. I even rewind just in case. So overall, it was a good book but disappointing ending. The author should probably check to see if the whole book recorded.

Kim Bearden is AMAZING!!

Mrs. Kim Bearden is one of the world's best school leaders and teachers. Often overshadowed by the larger than life personality of Ron Clark, Kim gracefully owns her place in their partnership. As expressed in this book, she is an amazing communicator and her willingness to share her strengths with the world speaks of her giving spirit. Bearden and Clark are the dynamic team leaders to an amazing team at RCA. Collectively, they are changing the game of education through their books, speeches, and their world ambassadors - their students/graduates. Thank you for this book. Thank you for sharing your inner and outer beauty with the world. God bless you, Kim!!
