Great new series

Love this new series and appreciate the publisher bundle of two short books in one. Looking forward to the next one.

It could have been my type of story but...

The story was written from a historical perspective of events from centuries past. The style of the book was very distracting. Some of the voice sound effects made it hard to understand what was being said. The AI at the start of each chapter was too long, and the historian (mostly in book one) spent too much time giving overviews of the story. The way it jumped around at times, it was hard to follow. The story by itself would have been great without those extra features. I am not sure if I will be continuing the series.

So dumb

Why the hell did this dude spare the traitor servants life, despite it being a duel to the death, and instead was killed by his father. SO DUMB! It makes no freaking sense! He would have gotten some insanely powerful ability if he had just struck the final blow but NO he lets his father kill him instead and got NOTHING from it, and not even 5 seconds later he complains that he needs more power! How freaking dumb! Oh wait, did he get something anyways?? Of course.. That and the useless “history” lessons and the dumb robotic intro to each chapter. Then there’s the fact that it takes for freaking EVER to get the story going, and even then you still have to listen to these stupid “historical” entries.

Monotone robotic shenanigans.

Yikes! Please don’t keep that monotone robotic voice in the next book. The story was enjoyable and the characters are likable. I want to see how this world develop and how the story unfolds. No more robotic shenanigans. The story is written written so please retire the creepy robot.

Couldn't stand the artificial and mechanical voice

the system and other creatures voices is hard tu understand lame in my opinion. if that was enough 50% of the book is a slow boring grind. the story is there might get better in the next book I can't see myself going for it
