Publisher's summary

Amelia Dunn is running from men who are determined to force her into a life any honest woman would be ashamed of. Her only hope is the big man who risked his own life to save her. But, had she jumped from the pan to the fire?

The last thing Hank Richards needed was a meddlesome woman in his way. But when a woman screams, a man just naturally has to step in and help. He should have known better. Now he was saddled with a woman with too many questions and enough enemies to keep him busy for months.

Woman with Enemies Defended by Cowboy

In this Old West romance adventure story, Amelia, a woman with many enemies, finds a paladin in Hank, who wants no further entanglements. Clean, cowboy adventure romance. Good narration. Female characters could have sounded more feminine.

The Miner and the Mail Order Bride

This was a very good audiobook and I enjoyed listening to it. A Young mail order bride, tricked, no husband, a brothel, running away, saved by a large man, frighten of him, getting out of town, the mountains, he's a miner, cooking and cleaning, leaving, snowed, helping in mine, having to leave, being found, killing, being shot, more snow, helping in the mine, cave in, finding a rich vaine, a young indian, falling in love, will there they find her again? Will there be a happy ever after? I would recommend this audiobook to everyone. Buy the audiobook and listen to find out what happens. I really loved it.

An action packed romance set in wild times

What stood out to me in this novel was the portrayal of the dark side of the mail order bride industry that remains current today - human trafficking including prostitutiion. Teenagers getting inadvertently caught up in this world and suffering unimaginable consequences.

So bring on strong and resilient heroines like Amelia who forge a life for themselves by pure grit and determination and the men like Hank who are drawn to their strength of character and adjust their lives to accomodate a surprise relationship with a stubborn and strong-minded partner.

Like the previous novels in the High Sierra series by GL Snodgrass, Book 3 is a clean read and I really love the male narration by Gus Farrar - it add that rustic western feel to the novel, in this case the Beast LOL thus bringing it alive.

I look forward to enjoying future books in this series - LOVE the catch ups with past beloved characters

Sweet Historical Romance

Oh my! So many times I couldn't figure out how they would get out of those terrible situations! But Hank is a true hero who always prevails!
The narration issues from book 1 and 2 come up just a few times, but this was my favorite narration of the three! I wish the author would write book 4 and make it about Charlie's future wife.
