Publisher's Summary

Burned out and tired as hell, the only thing ex-cop Holt Bradford wanted to do was relax. But when beautiful single mom Suzanna invaded his solitude to search for the missing Calhoun emeralds, he couldn't say no.

Holt was no longer the bad-boy teen Suzanna remembered. He'd grown into a dangerously sexy man--all the more reason to keep a safe distance. Suzanna wouldn't risk her well-ordered life for a man who could make her mouth go dry with a simple glance.

Nice fluffy story... bad performance.

I’ve actually read this book in print before, so hearing Suzanna sound like a congested howler monkey was quite a shock. And Holt sounded like a boxer who had one too many punches to the head. And don’t get me started on Trent. What kind of accent was that supposed to be? Anyway, if you can get past those irritants, the story is interesting. I’ve heard much worse.

I enjoyed Suzanna’s surrender very much. Looking forward to Amanda’s mate. The narrator does a wonderful job . You can visualize the people and story , as it is told .

Recommended

At last Suzanna's eye are no longer sad and haunted from a bad marriage.

As the search for the missing emeralds continues, Suzanna steps in to help. Seems a man she had contact with at 16 may lead them to more answers. Holt, the grandson of Christian Bradford (Bianca's lover), well remembers Suzanna, his boyhood crush.

Another great story! Like seeing the story unfold

The narrator keeps your attention telling the story. I couldn't wait to pick up where I left off.

Wonderful

This book was the best in the series of the Calhoun women so far. The
did an amazing job on this book I really feel that she improved drastically over each book she did. Reading the series is definitely worth going through the first book which was not the best in the series or the best read. But definitely well worth itI highly recommend it
