Just like all little girls, I hoped I was special and that one day my powers would be revealed. My parents would be bewildered, my friends would equally worship and envy me, and my bullies would run away in terror! Nothing happened when I turned 10. I didn't grow wings at 12, still wasn't able to make things move with my mind at 14, and at 16, I was already too old to believe in such nonsense. Well, what do you think happened the day I turned 18? I got the confirmation that I was only human. In the mail! Oh, and also an invitation to apply to the Grim Reaper Academy. Because, apparently, humans can be Grim Reapers, too.

Fast forward to day one, semester one, year one. There's a test! No one told me I'd have to take a test to enter! But there are only 22 Reapers in the world, the competition is tough, so I guess it makes sense? If I pass, then I will be sorted according to what kind of Death I'll make if I survive the rigors of the Academy.

But this is my chance, dammit! This is what I've been waiting for all my life! Okay, so I'm not a princess, or a mermaid, or Sailor Moon. But I can be a Grim Reaper one day. I'll take it!

Great Story

Was reluctant at first. Story had some major GAPS but author pulled it together. Love the plot.

… okay so far

But a reverse harem disclaimer would have been cool… still listening tho. I like the paranormal aspect of the book and the world building. The bullying seems little too intense and doesn’t really make sense but maybe we’ll find out why she’s been targeted other than being human.

Interesting story

I liked that a girl who thought she was ordinary isn’t. I’m glad the father she thought was hers isn’t.

I would like it more without the sexual induindo but it's a good story but could be great.

Surviving year one

I really did enjoy the book. I have bout year two in hope it gets better.
My only issue is the bullying. WHY is not addressed?! The bullies really should be held accountable and it stresses me that it continues and no repercussions....

It was okay

It was okay, maybe if it had more of character and world build up, I think I would have given it more stars.

Just wasn’t feeling it

The summary sounded like the book was going to be awesome. About 4 chapters in and I was already dozing off.

The book is about a few young men who bully a young woman into being their girlfriend. One of them literally forces himself on her and then they say, oh but she liked it after a few minutes. Gross

There’s really no excitement in the book. Nothing that really jumps out and makes you feel something. Whether that something is a good laugh, tears, heart pounding fear, something just needs to be felt. But, it wasn’t there for me.

Halfway through the first book I bought the rest of the series. It’s the perfect mix between First Wing and Harry Potter. If you are a fan of either series
you will love this series

I am actually going to buy it as soon as I'm done writing this review...hopefully Book 2 will be just as good if not better!!! lol I also really enjoyed listening to the narrator, she fits really well with the characters in the story!!! WOW INTENSE

Wow intense and action packed. How this young girl adapts is a testament to her suffering at the hand of her mean father. This girl has guts and l found this a very satisfying story. l have already purchased book 2 as l am so caught up in her story. Recommended
