Publisher's summary

When Mallory Westbrook comes home for her great-grandfather's 90th birthday, she doesn't realize that Jake Summerford had been invited as well. She’s spent the last few months transitioning from an awkward teenage girl to a put-together 20-year-old woman - all in hopes of Jake noticing her.

Now that they'll be together in Magnolia Sound for an entire weekend of celebrations, it's her perfect chance to show the four-years-older Jake that she's not a kid anymore. But will she be able to do that while also dealing with her annoying twin brother, Sam, and her family who wants to keep her a young girl forever?

Phenomenal intro to Ms. Chase"s new series!!!!

First off, WHAT AN AWESOME BEGINNING TO A NEW SERIES!!!!! Kudos, Ms. Chase, phenomenal beginning. Sunkissed Days is the prequel to Ms. Chase’s new series, Magnolia Sound. Once I started reading Sunkissed Days, I literally could not put it down. I am FLOVING the introductions of all the new characters and cannot wait to read all of their stories.
Second, Jake Summerford is a freaking idiot!!! Sorry ladies, I will NOT tell you why!
See what happens when his neighbor’s great-granddaughter grows up!! Jake cannot believe his eyes when he goes to his neighbor’s birthday party and sees his great-granddaughter for the first time in a while. The last thing he expects is to fall for her, he has his plan set to go to college in the fall. But you know what they say, best laid plans and all….
Mallory Westbrook has had a thing for Jake for MANY years. To bad he does not feel the same way. This time, Mallory is determined to make Jake SEE her. And, by gosh, does he ever!!!
Narrator Carly Robins did a phenomenal job verbally introducing us to these characters. Her voices for all of the characters, oh my gosh, Pops, Lord, I fell in love with him even more hearing Ms. Robins verbalizing his words.
I LOVED this book, every cotton pickin’ word! I definitely cannot wait to read what the future brings to Mallory and Jake, as well as the rest of the people we met. Thank goodness, the first book will be releasing in mid-March. EEK!!!! I cannot wait!!!
Thank you for reading my review. Go ahead, hit that purchase button, you will not be disappointed!!!

I absolutely hate cliff hangers...

Had I realized this would not be a full story, I would not have started it! The characters were well developed for the first portion of the book and then reverted to insecure and totally different people. The ending was disappointing indeed. I hate to waste more energy in the next book when this is your ploy. You should warn folks up front that this is not a full story.

Great start to the series!

I loved the characters that we were introduced in this prequel to the series! Freaking Jake...UGH! But Mallory is a strong herione and I look forward to seeing more of these characters in the future books in this series!

cliff hanger

I loved it. but u thought it was going to be a stand alone novel, and was disappointed the story didn't resolve itself at the end.

What the Heck

This book ends mid - book!!! Already a weak book for Samantha Chase, and then to add cutting it in half!! Really???? Not worth my time or money!!

Whiny Millennials

OMG....she heard the wrong thing and ran away. Boohoohoohoo. What a crock. Pops, and his life is far more interesting than the shallow half realized people. Predictable. Go get some Jewel E. Ann stories. Better writer!!
