Publisher's summary

Chase Weaverson would have preferred moving to the family farm all on his own. Instead, he finds himself alongside his younger brother Dylan, who's left behind more girlfriends in Hedon City than Chase can count. It's bad enough Chase has to watch out for idiots on the road, whose reckless speeding and swerving nearly leads him to crash his pick-up. Concentrating on driving while putting up with his brother's two-timing antics almost makes him give Dylan the boot.

When Dylan whines about needing to make a pit stop in Helensview, the brothers wind up at the town's newest gas station. The highway insanity follows them there as people start attacking each other for no apparent reason besides cheap gas. Worse, an argument breaks out between the brothers, leading Dylan to storm out on Chase.

As Chase considers leaving Dylan behind, the people of Helensview start changing into road raging demons. But they don't intend to kill Chase. They'd much rather make him into one of their own, and they start by managing somehow to whisper inside his head.

Can Chase overcome the demons and save both himself and Dylan?

The price you pay for gas!

Okay, I'm going to be honest and let the author know that the book needs a cover. If you actually got a cover made then this book would sale. Believe me author Jeff Beesler, people do judge a book by its cover. The story is a weird one but it was actually a great story. I don't understand how a demon can be made from gas but it happens in your story. I loved the two brothers, especially Chase. I was saddened at the end but I think this has taught his brother a few lessons in life. The story has mystery, intrigue, and twists and turns, and some surprises along the way.

Narrator, Robert Neil DeVoe did a great job of telling this story. He really brought this story to life in a way that you feel you see it all play out. His vocal range is extremely good and he does a great job with distinguishing accents and voices. I received this audio at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. Please find a cover for this book Jeff and you'll see the difference it will make!

Speed Demons

Any additional comments?

This was a good horror story. Two brothers on their way to reclaim a farm stop in a town where people are turning into demons. They get sucked into the melee. We get to find out who these people are and who they'd like to be.Robert Neil DeVoe does a great job as narrator.I do not think anyone could have made me dislike Petal (? I listened, remember) as much as he did!

A wild ride of a B-movie but in book form!

And I thought road rage was bad in Boston!

This is a highly enjoyable read that wastes little time getting to the zany action. Beesler combines compelling characters and a straightforward storyline with lighthearted humor and excellent puns. The only question I’m left with is “What will he think of next?”

Interesting Story

A town becomes a nightmare scene as demons take over. Two brothers and a few survivors search for a way to end the nightmare and save themselves.

I enjoyed the story and was a nice change from vampires and the usual monsters.

Road trip gone bad!

Brothers Chase and Dylan Weaverson are on a road trip to visit their parents. Aside from some random road rage and typical family squabbles, the trip is without major incident. One more pit-stop in Hellensview and then they’ll be home. The townsfolk in Hellensview are an ornery lot. What’s going on with all the aggression tonight? While Chase waits for Dylan to come back from the gas station store, he witnesses the violence hiking up a notch or two. People are raging and turning into demons! As the night goes on and the violence escalates, the brothers must decide whether to stay and help or get out of Dodge. What is causing this, and will it spread? Chase heard something about Demonized Hydro-Carbons. WTF? I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
