Grumpy Landon Podesta is on a reluctant hero’s journey. The visit home begins with shielding a good woman from a bad man’s intentions. Followed by becoming caretaker for a recuperating father, his beloved biker bar, and the rundown homestead. The break in the clouds? A stubborn memory of the dancing woman. And how it felt being her protector.

Widow Kim Ripley knows herself and the life goals she intends on reaching. Get son Hunter through college, keep the family home in Smyrna, find a fulfilling job. Being rescued in a bathroom by a brooding bartender was not part of the plan. But a freight train barreling right for you is hard to ignore.

Story - ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Spice - 🌶🌶
Narration - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Southern Comfort is book #2 in the Tennessee Sons series, Landon and Kim's story. She's a widowed single mom, he's a loner that has no plans to ever return permanently to Smyrna, TN. He rescues her from an attacker and just can't get her out of his head. There is some insta-love, but with a developing friendship that is heartwarming. Loved all the characters and how in the heck did that boy get to college already?? He was a kid in book #1. Don't miss this steamy, slow-burn romance with crossover characters from The Swift Family series (yesssss).

The dual narration is so good. Connor Crais and Ava Lucas delivered the total package for Landon and Kim. Ava Lucas has one of the best "male" voices ever! This duo is 5 top shelf stars!

Landon and Kim ❤️❤️

Southern Comfort by Leslie Pike was sweet and spicy. The ever-grumpy bartender Landon has returned home to help take care of his ailing father. The dynamic between Landon and his father is tenuous at best.

Kim is a widow who ends up being saved by the bartender from an attack. The two fall hard for each other, really leaning into the insta-love trope. Each brings their own baggage and complications to the relationship, but Landon and Kim seem to support each other through it all.

The audio was a delight. Ava Lucas simply shines in this audio. In dual narration with Connor Crais, who also dazzles, Ava brings the right balance of sweetness and toughness to the role of Kim. Connor's smooth voice brings life and depth to Landon's character. Thank you to Blue Nose for the chance to listen and review.

“Healing never looked this romantic till now. Love found them when they least expected it they saved each other”

Book review!

Leslie Pike signed, sealed, and delivered with this one!!

If someone was to ask me for a quick/fast read or listen with romance and grumpy vibes, this would be it! I loved this storyline. It’s book two in the series, but it can totally be read or listened to on its own. There are tiny breadcrumbs from the first book, yes, but you can still enjoy this one on its own.

The narration is done perfectly for the characters. The narrator’s do a great job of bringing them to life — this is exactly how I imagined they’d sound.

There are vibes of found family along with finding love later in life. It has humor, heartfelt moments, and character growth from both the MMC and FMC, plus some side characters I loved seeing.

You’ll be kicking your feet for the characters in this one! The journey of healing from loss and learning to love again will have you hooked — it’s the perfect amount of humor, romance, and spice. It’s easy to fall in love with the story of Landon, Kim, and the side characters. I truly enjoyed Kim’s story; I wanted to know more about her since book one, and this one tells you everything you need to know and more.

Truly amazing I loved it!

I enjoyed Landon and Kim's story. This was a cute, funny and a bit emotional story about family and love. I really enjoyed the banter between Landon and his dad.

I read this and really liked it, but now that I listened to it I found it even better.

Love It!

Hey everybody and welcome back to another audiobook review today. We are talking about Southern comforts. This is the second book in the Tennessee Sons series. The story follows Landon and Kim. In the story, Landon has come back to his hometown to help his father run their family biker bar due to his father having some health issues. Kim has been recovering from a vehicle incident that occurred prior, her and some of her friends are going out to the bar to celebrate an upcoming wedding however, somebody decides to start causing trouble in the neighborhood and they attempt to harm him however, Landon is her savior. They immediately hit it off and have really great chemistry with each other. Landon actually ends up becoming a father figure for Kim, son Hunter and Kim forms a strong bond with Landon‘s father. I thought that this was a nice little break from all of the dark on my side. I listen to because every once in a while you just need a break from the dark romance and I do like whenever I get these kind of contemporary romances and I get to have those breaks before I go back into dark romance as I love you guys know dual style narration is not my favorite. I do prefer the duet style, but whenever the dual style can be done very well like it was by Connor and Ava. I can put my differences of it to the side and enjoy it very much and I think that since this was the first book that I heard Connor and Ava and and the fact that it was doing, they did a very amazing job doing that that is a huge plus for me. I do highly recommend that if you are going to start this book, I do suggest going back to read the first book of the series just because some characters from book one appear in book 2. It’s good just to go ahead and know their story. But as always a quick shout out to Blue Nose AUDIO for being an absolutely amazing shout out to the author Leslie Pike and shout out to the narrators Connor and Ava.

Relaxing Romance after all the Dark romance
